Just an update on the mars colonies.

 

The growth of small plants has begun, and trees will soon start as well.

 

After the plants have grown, I will research ecosustainability and choose a selection of animals based on that.

 

 

 

The gravity is not affecting any of the people there too much, due to my modified exosuits.

 

They have basically had most functions stripped off, and are designed to give the illusion of being pulled down on, to simulate the earths gravity.

Also the claimable/unclaimable countries thing is to allow more players to join. It means that you have 1 country your

 

capital country, and people can't come and claim it, but newcomers can claim a non-capital country you have, but they will ask you first, once all the countries are taken then you'd have to convince them to choose a different country. Once they own a country, however, they can't do this. Like all multiplayer games, it's much more fun with alot of people than just a handful.

You don't have the military to take Japan. Be realistic. But if you want to try...I can fight on Japan's side (as they are my ally) and defeat you.

There's nothing in the rule book about capital countries and that's the only land you have for certain, never did the Hegemony every say anything close to that. I don't get where this suddenly came up that newcomers can come and simply take a country you conquered or that was given to you simply because it's not your "capital country."

 

 

 

Now you can ask to try and be leaders with the person of the country/kingdom/empire (for newcomers), but never just "Hey I want so and so country that you conquered, give it to me." No, that's absurd and not in the rule book.

-Play realistically within the 1 day = 1 year ratio

 

-No nukes whatsoever

 

-You can make or join an alliance, but your alliances rules only apply for the members in your alliance.

 

-No extreme acts of war without retort. The country receiving the blow must retaliate.

 

-Your troop number cannot exceed your population. Your population must also be sensible and take the size of the land you own into consideration (I will not accept new countries having populations of 1 billion.)

 

-You may as of now expand your nations. However, taking over a country will take ATLEAST 3 days (if it is unpopulated) and potentially weeks if the other player retorts.

 

-Take into account troop movement time. Even though airplanes and cars exist it still takes awhile to GET to a country, which a lot of people have ignored.

 

-Crazy scientific advancements are to be shared with the entire world. Nobody has to right to discover energy-efficient cars and manufacture them exclusively.

 

-If a player quits or becomes inactive, his country disappears. I know many will oppose this law, but I assure you it is the best way.

 

-If a new player wishes to join, he has full right to take the country of his choice as long as nobody already chose it as their 'capital'. That means that even though you only have 2 countries and your 2nd is equally important as the one you chose, you'd still have to concede him your country (but he still cannot take the one you initially chose).

Apparently Real-life Finland is working on a tunnel where my 50 mile bridge was, the tunnel is only open to freights, while the bridge is for passengers

 

The tunnel-bridge system should increase the economy vastly, as previously only a small number of freighters could be on the bridge at any given time

 

The tunnel should allow as many freighters as possible.

Okay, he wanted to claim it as did I, but yes it's still un-claimable up to now so whatever I guess.

 

 

 

The research on agriculture in China is working on pace. Some of my main buildings are being rebuild very nicely and can withstand bombs and fires, but other cities are still needing work and everything else is on schedule. Some ethanol fuel is being delivered there too atm.

The rebuilding of the US has begun, since there was basically nothing left, I'm pumping funds into creating homes and other buildings.

 

 

 

New machines are being built on mars, mostly in the way of transport, but there are a few other things as well.

Would everyone agree to changing the rule about when the owner of a country quits that it disappears? That's just stupid. I think that it should just return to the way it was in real life.

He conquered much of europe while the leaders of those countries were inactive. If those countries "disappear" due to the Hegemony's rule, then he doesn't have all that new land right?

Saw my name/Taiwan pop up a few times.

 

I still read this thread, it's interesting. I'm just too lazy to make up plans and too uncreative to come up with awesome technology.

 

I originally had Taiwan implode due to dividing by 0 (...), but that was only a cover-up, as no survivors were left behind to tell what really happened. (except me, of course)

 

A tsunami (very rare in those parts, I think, but possible) and a large typhoon (if you've been reading the news you've probably heard about major typhoons ravaging Taiwan...) hit the island at the exact same time, as if the will of the gods. The island was more or less sunk due to all the water pouring down on it.

 

But now, some strange phenomenon has happened. The island has come back. It's risen from the depths of the seas. Although, all people were killed, and 95% of the infrastructure was destroyed.

 

It is unclaimed (Serephurus, I think in your map you included it with China - for the purpose of this game I'd separate the two) for now, and my former colonies (eastern Indonesia, the Philippines) have been restored to their former governments (which means they're open as well).

 

 

 

I'd also like to mention a few other things:

 

-Malaysia has part of Borneo too. I don't know if grim wants it or not, but I don't think it's been marked on the maps.

 

-The capital system could work like it does in Civ4 (except by countries, not cities). Your first city is automatically made your capital (so the first country you start out with), and all other cities (countries) you conquer/obtain are just regular cities. However, if you lose your capital, a random city is chosen as your new capital. (I guess we can't have it be random, the player can choose) You can also move your capital at any time [by building a palace].

 

-Someone should be able to claim a country that isn't a capital if they want, but they'll most likely have to fight a rebellion war against the previous owner. So for example, someone could claim Saudi Arabia now, but they'd probably have to fight KOJ. (up to the two - or more - involved parties to decide, of course)

1,000,000 more foreign volunteers have joined the German army, now that they realize that The Fourth Reich is not a genocidal empire like the third, and most citizens of recently conquered territory are happy with the medical advances and safety that being part of T4R brings.

 

Diplomats have been sent to Mauritania, Niger and the Western Sahara to speak about possible includement within T4R. They would benefit greatly from a move.

 

German troops have moved into Holland, since their leader has been banned.

I demand your troops leave holland now as flodder has given me partial control of Holland. He gave me control of the militairy already so i think it would be fair. And i would appreciate if you leave the rest of Africa alone
