Basically mechanical suits which increase normal human capabilities.

 

Mine are currently the most efficient/powerful, having been in development for over 20 years or so.

Tensions have been rising on the southwestern border. Groups of militants have been raiding border towns in the name of Allah, burning whole villages to the ground. the army is patrolling the border, but we have already had 12 casualties so far. Civilian deaths are in the hundreds. In other news, the foreign affairs minister is traveling to Heaven to meet with the scientists working there. We will have more on their project when he returns.

It wouldn't suspend people in old age for an additional 50 years. It would be administered at birth, so that "old" would then be considered 110+. You'd be in the same shape at say, 80, as you would be at 50 or 60 without the drug.
