Why do pures have a bad name, Im talking 1-20 Defence. I've come from 4 years of main play when I decided it wasnt for me anymore.

 

Now I have dragon claws 84 Ranged 1 Defence pure and its great.

 

 

 

I'm at watchtower Blue dragons and every main that logs in (regardless if there killing one dragon and waiting for spawn) will use the spot where you dont have to wait. I ask them politely that they should try the east side and I'll show them how its better for one kills they call me a low level jerk pure. Countless scenarios but im telling you this does not happen on a main, The people are the same I have a main and a lot of pures do as well.

 

 

 

Here's a tip:

 

 

 

Most people around these parts don't take kindly to pures, especially pures who whine about getting defense. Become an init pure.

always get this slaying, happy slaying someone steals spawns you were there first, sets up cannon etc, best thing to do is just move or to take as long as you can killing the dragon, shame they don't make rubber bolts :P

I was pretty well known in Tif with a Blog but after I forgot pass I did not bothered retrieving so I made another this is Samurai Lux.

 

 

 

I've been in pure community for awhile and there all pretty much the same as everyone else its not like one type of person makes a pure account. If its those 1% of pures that are arrogant as I've seen well im almost certain 10% of mains are arrogant and up them selves. The few times I have said my username people suddenly went from someone abusing me to someone who wants me to add them.

If someone has a pure they're going to have a main or at least had a main. Somebodies personality depends on their personality not their stats - if a pure is arrogant, then they will be arrogant on their main too.

 

 

 

It's safe to assume all (or at least almost all) pures have a main but not all mains have a pure. This means there must be more arrogant mains then pures. Simple logic.

the vast majority of pures, or atleast the vocal ones, give the rest of the pures a bad name. alot of them seem to find themselves somehow "superior" because they choose not to train a certain few stats, which serverly cripples them. and they (you included) seem to think that if you arent a pure then you are worthless, defence is pointless etc etc etc.

 

 

 

and saying that mains can say anything and nomatter what the pure does they are still and idiot pure, that is not what i meant, not by a long shot. alot of the time, if you hadnt noticed, pures do act like arrogant 13 yearolds who just hit puberty and the sudden surge of testosterone forces them to fight and kill everything that moves. and you fit that stereotype perfectly, my friend. and yeah, some mains are [wagon], as you said, but there is a higher % of stuckup, idiot pures than there is mains (in my experience)

 

 

 

 

 

and dan, most people only play one or the other, not both (main/pure), so saying there must logically be more arrogant mains than pures is...illogical. and several times ive seen people with both (uncommon to have, though) behave differnetly on their pure to their main. dont ask why because i dont know

Most pures: Bad attitude, arrogant, idiotic. They ruin your gaming experience, either through their attitude or by the very fact that they refuse to play the game properly (i.e., blatantly refusing to train a particular skill and thus shunning one or more aspects of the game).

 

According to the pures, anybody who is not a pure is a "main(wtf?)". Are they to say that I should play two different accounts for... what reason, exactly? Is there a point? You can't transfer items between accounts so that argument is non-existent. And besides, RuneScape is an RPG. Your character is involved in a world where every move he or she makes changes the course of history. By having multiple accounts, it's just another game rather than an otherworldly escape, which I believe is the whole point of a game, really.

 

 

 

One trend I've noticed is that SwiftKit users = idiots. This isn't always true but most of the "pure attitude" types use SwiftKit or some other client, possibly because they feel they are being "cool" or "different" by using a now useless program.

No they don't. Mains just like to justify their actions by saying things like 'well pures are arrogant jerks anyways it doesn't matter if I insult them unprovoked'.

You think I don't have people calling me names when they see I'm a pure every time I log in? Most pures above 75 combat get that on a daily basis. We aren't going to look at mains in the highest light, are we?

I think it's pretty obvious that's what you meant. As soon as I said a truthful comment about mains it's automatically an idiot pure attitude.

Pking on a pure is different always changing, challenging and that is what pures like there not going to go train to a ridicolous farming level for example even though I have done this on my main. I've also seen over 10 pures with 99 farming.

No it shouldn't because Armydal platelegs obviously wont be 1 defence requirements the black dragonhide legs are symbolic to pures.

Hence, most. Though to be honest most pures iv'e met are nice towards me. Proberly since there in absolute awe of my sexy defence, as for your gaming ruined, wasn't that because of your swearing and wbm's, Latios? :lol:

I don't think its fair to say 'Why do you hate pures?' One of my longest friends in runescape uses a pure account more often than his main, and he's ok.

 

 

 

I think most people hate the pures who will whine when an item comes out that requires defence, or whine when a quest gives defence exp. When the can't seem to realise that to get the full out of this game, you need to dabble in everything. If you leave out one particular skill, you ill be hindered.

 

 

 

I will leave this topic open as long as people keep the flaming, and bare asumptions to a minimum. (i'll be keeping an eye on the thread).

I think it has something to do with what RS era you're from. If you just started in the last 2-3 years, i could see why you might hate pures. But if you're like me and from anywhere from 01-04 you have more reasons to appreciate pures, and they are more 'acceptable' to you IMO.

I remember back when Karma was 1 def, all the other 1 def pures that would see me training would insult me completely unprovoked. I was even walking through Edgeville and some kid made fun of me for being 57 combat. I quickly equipped my fire cape... that shut him up lol

I'm a pure. 90 defence is just a minor set back...

 

 

 

On a more serious note, it is because most (not all) of them are cocky, arrogant, whiny, overall jerks who think they own the game and moan about quests giving defence xp. Also, they think they are all that for having expensive items when they just transferred money from their main (via old partyroom) or did the 26k trick.

 

 

 

Not saying this describes any of you, but this is the average pure.
