Lvl 99 stat cap for fighting stats. Should it be raised ?

Yes I know theres been a couple of post about this already. But they all end up in flame wars etc or people saying its not possible because of them having to reset everyones stats. As i've stated in other post this is not the case and that rumour was made up by newbs who think their cool and it spread around.

Taken by a clanmate of mines in DI who spoke to a J-Mod about it. Now that the rumours have been proven false and we know it could be done .. We can now ask the question SHOULD it be done ?

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

With alot of updates this year training has become extremely easy. Now with us having over 1.1k people maxed out combat stats , I strongly feel that this cap should be raised. Just Attack, Str, Def, Hp, Range, Magic, Fishing, And cooking(fishing and cooking because with the lvl cap being removed for combat their will be a need for better food on p2p).

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Lets face it, the monsters on rs are just getting stronger and stronger (newer higher lvled monsters being put in) While we are stuck at the same stats to face them at. There has to be a change.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

I know alot of people will complain about "being 1 hit" etc .. But it wont be any different then it is right now. Think about it. A 120 stat requires 104 mil EXP just for that 1 stat. Would take years to get that much exp and years upon years to max out all combat stats at that exp. Even at 120 stats you'll ONLY be able to hit 6 higher then the current max.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Yes with the cap being remove there will have to be updates to both cooking and fishing to balance this out a bit. Maybe at first something that heals 25 then eventually when people start hitting 110+ stats something that heals a bit more then that.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

To be honest theres no reason why this shouldnt be done. 99 stat melee fighting a 110 stat melee is like a 88 stat melee'r fighting someone whose currently maxed out. You can simply think of it like that and see that it isnt unfair in anyway.

Hmm an interesting idea..... also prevent a certain person from being able to beat the game statwise :wink:

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

I would like this if it was implemented into the game, might make certain weapons over powered though :shock: That 92 with dharok fake pic might be able to be real....

yea, I won't mind seeing it, but it would only make me go a bit more crazy with the hardcore training and the addiction will kick in ... especially when i'm trying to get away from this game. I've managed to cut my online time drastically. :|

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

i'm still neautral, there are tons of pro's and con's

I believe the whole combat system should be completely revamped, like having 10k max hp... and boosting the combat stats to like 200... ( but obviously changing the xp ) and u will be able to hit alot more and have unique special attacks... but this will probobly never happen :'(

I know that 3 Hit U made a topic in the rants about this and it would definately make the game more addictive but it could also cause people to stop playing. 99 in a stat gives people a target rather than just keeping on going.

Never said anything about making there no lvl cap. My topic is asking should it be raised :P I personally think the cap should be 120 (104 mil exp)

it would be an good idea the possibilitys that come with it are big, and would give many new additions (herblore: new potions , cooking fishing: duh , slayer: to keep training even more interesting/worth it,smithing perhaps new armour..,magic more spells offcourse, ranging ,..)

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

but my opinion is that they will have no choise after a year, more and more player are getting 100+ cmb , and the game would no longer be interesting for those who only train combat related skills.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

wild must be expand also , but about wild you would have insane high leved players running around who would be impossible to take down but i guess that would only be in the beginning.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

a con would be that lower levs would be discouraged in training combat , also training past 99 would be hard and sometimes a long and boring occupation thats why i think ive you could make teams/partys , exp would be faster , higher lev npc's ....

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

thats my vieuw about it.

If it would go further than that, I would stop skills at 99 for reasons of my own. It would be unfair to add something what would stop my training.

na keep it 99 99 good reason:look this people whit 400 str or 900 hitpoints will that be fun NO look to games like cw then and the magic skill also i like the max food called ''sharks'' wut will you get then? food like wales wich give 100 hp and evryone below cb 120 can get full hp in 1 bite also a cb 500 cant attack sumbody at mage arena and wild has to go like lvl 300 wildy

they can easy make it go over lev 99 without deleting stats....

 

 

 

and ive they would raise it , it wouldnt be lev 100 levs at once.

 

 

 

and for those who said dumb/stupid idea, how about saying why its a stupid idea?

yeah that way instead of pures with 99 range and like 40 def they'd have 150 range and 40 def...makes sence...

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

(btw, i know 150 range is like millions upon millions of exp...which makes it also another reason why this update isnt possible, people would get to like lvl 110 in something and it would be like another 50+ mil to the next level
