Saying it without the "dot" is like calling Google's URL "Googlecom".

But it's not really the same since Google is Google and you know what Google is without calling it Google.com, but Tip.it is another thing since the it is actually a part of the name. If I were to start calling it Tip, that'd be weird. The dot is just a bit that lets us have a groovy url. I dunno what I'm saying X_X It kind of makes sense... ish.

You could look at another more pertinent example: Kataweb.it, a popular Italian news site. You wouldn't pronounce it "Katawebit". Even though you may be accustomed to saying "Tipit", the pronunciation of the URL Tip.it isn't an exception to this rule of pronunciation.

Yeah but that site isn't called Katawebit, if it was, then I'd call the address Katawebit not (dot) it. Because the it is a part of the name, we're called Tip.It, not Tip, it's natural to just ignore the dot. It makes sense.

Yes, when people reffer to this website they usually type "Tip.It", as one might refer to Kataweb.it as "Kataweb.it". I don't see the logic in not pronouncing the dot. And ironically contradictory to your view, periods were introduced to our language strictly separate two things, not to be ignored and act as something that joins two words: be it ideas, levels, numbers, and so on.

The genre and type is called 8bit. Go to 8bitcollective.com. There is no mainstream 8bit, it is all just people making it on their computers. Really cool stuff.

The Cure man, THE CURE.

It's a cover of The Cure's Just Like Heaven.

I'm on a school computer at the moment but I think I got it simply by searching "The Cure" on the site.

Honestly, every person I've spoken to about tip.it called it "Tip it"; you're the first to say "tip dot it". It's hardly an issue, just saying.

I call it Tip-DOT-it in my head when I'm typing the URL out, but not for much else.

Still I don't see any problem with calling Tip-It, Tip-dot-it.

Stop trying to make issues when there are none, Rainy, sheesh. :shame:

I think it may also have to do with the fact that, Tip-ing' is a verb and not used very strictly in this sense. You know providing - RuneScape "tips"

I like the dancing or whatever at the beginning.

I almost made a video, but I swore every time I forgot what I was saying and made ridiculous hand gestures the whole time. I also had nothing to talk about. So yeah, no video from me.

I'm too scared to post a video.

But, I wouldn't mind watching all your videos.

Also, you look funny.

Stop saying I'm joking.

You're wearing a [bleep]ing suit and tie. Be serious goddamnit.

Stay off camera and use a voice changer. I'd lol at a video of that.

I'm really not a techie type of person.

To make a confession, I have never taken a video from a camera [or something else] and then put it on the computer.

Can someone show me how to do that ?

Depends on your camera. Usually you can access your camera's files simply by hooking it up with a USB.
