Heh, I'm surprised nobody mentioned the S&M version of "Nothing Else Matters" by Metallica. I'm surprised I forgot it myself too btw.

I've always liked the studio version better than any live ones.

Dido - Sand in my Shoes

Kind of a personal story why that means a lot to me (I don't think it's that brilliant a song).

There is one other piece of music that means a lot to me - but it's not something anyone would know or care about, as it's religious music. I'll refrain from posting it :)

The S&M version is much better IMO. After hearing both versions I can't listen to the studio version, it just doesn't sound right.

James messes with the vocals too much live. He got it right the first time.

On this thread I've seen a few songs that are really great imo. Those are Changes - Tupac, and Dance - Nas. I love it when rap music has meaning like that.

Other songs that have great meaning to me personally are I'll be missing you - Puff Daddy f. Faith Evans (surprised noone mentioned this, after Biggies death), I Miss You - DMX, I Wish (Remix) - R Kelly, One Mic - Nas.

Lyrically and emotionally, those songs are all classics.
