I have about 6 551 of them in my bank at the moment, just enough to get my 90 Prayer. They have been rising like crazy the past while now and i was wondering if they will keep on rising? Might seem like a pretty simple question but to someone like me its not. I don't do the whole twitter thing and i don't keep track on the G E charts so when Jagex tosses around hints i miss it and i sure as hell can't tell whats going to happen by looking at the G E charts. If i sell the D Bones all now i would come awat with close to 27m, maybe more. Will it be unwise to sell now with the hopes that hey might fall in the next few weeks? Or should i just use them and get it over with?

Alot of you will answer "Well, if money isnt a problem, then use it now", well for me money is a problem at the moment. So keep that in mind :)

People are buying as many as possible ready for the prayer update.

Add to this inflation and they just keep rising.

 

I keep hearing rumors its scheduled for release before 2010 so its only a few weeks left if there true.

 

So buy or sell its 50:50 if the update doesn't bring out a new training method they will go through the the roof.

Personally, I'm hoping/somewhat expecting the update to offer a better/cheaper way of leveling prayer. Still, I'm tempted to buy bones for 90 just in case.

You don't really need 90 prayer, if you have money problems it will probably be better to sell them. Try to sell one, if it sells at max sell the rest too (or wait one update, but I can't guarantee they will still sell at max then. Usually when I wait another update the item I want to sell suddenly starts crashing).

I know a lot of people and clans have been merching these a bit, but my worry with this is if they bring out a new way to lvl, like a new minigame or something which might effect bone prices.

 

As always, its a brave person to gamble on an update. Look at all those people buying up vials etc before box packs were brought out.....

 

Personally, if you want some cash, sell half of them at max and see if they sell? Least you would clear some cash.

Yeah i had the bones for 90 about 2 months ago (it cost me only 18m then) and decided to sell it (for 20m). Thing is, i'm afraid that the update might be High Level related (like the previous updates for Herblore and Mining) which will make prices go through he rought as said. But on the other hand if they bring out a new, cheaper method of training i might end up paying 4k per d bone where i could have paid only 2k or whatever. Then on the other hand, if i get 90 prayer i will finally have all my Combat skill 90+ (after i use my charms too, ofcourse) along with 136 Combat, something i've wanted for a while now.

I've got about 10k bones, I'm pretty sure it's gonna be new prayers - they've been promoting the "rebalancing of the combat triangle", so my guess is range/mage/damage reduction prayers?

Do like some of the IRL stock traders do. Sell some of them and you will get some cash. If prices go up and you will likely know soon then you can agonized whether to profit or level prayer. If prices drop, it is in the cards for you to level. In any case, good luck.

We all know the new update will have some nice high level prayers... im betting 95+. Even if there is a new cheaper way to level prayer introduced it will be nowhere near as fast as a guilded alter and dbones. This pretty much means that the rich people that want access to the new prayers right away will buy out the dbones for max the first few weeks after the prayer update. Heck the merchants will be buying up the bones as well to make a buck, Im betting that bones will hit 6k after the update.

 

Hold your bones.

 

 

PS: If i were you i would have used them already, prayer is a good skill to have in the 90s. Money comes and goes in this game, skills last forever.

I said, "Screw any update. 90 prayer is good; if it is a new high level prayer, I should be able to use it. If it is a new method to train, I will get 99," I spent 50m+ for 80-90, and am glad I did. Now, I doubt that in the short term I will make back that money, but it does add up. Those extra points from p pots, etc.

 

Once again, I completely agree with taco. You get 90 prayer, and it is always there.
