I can't wait for this quest. I remember back when the 2nd part was released not too long after the first and I thought I'd be seeing this quest a lot sooner.

But anyway it should be good :D

Its been a fair few weeks since the last Fairy blog and not long ago a dev blog was released about something and then the update came out a day or two later. I am fairly confident that next weeks quest is FTP3.

And along with it a complete revamp of Zanaris... will this be the first time we seem bloom lighting/particle effects etc?

It'll have bloom lighting & particle effects - I know that for sure.

I always end up pulling this out, but it's from the Runescape: Director Commentary thing I went to:

There's no bloom lighting on SD from what I could see.

Could someone explain to me what the bloom effect is? Is it just proximity lighting?

Am I the only one happy that Mod Tytn has taken over the project? =) For anyone who doesn't know, he's the developer of the Myreque series.

To be honest i don't think that's a good thing, the quest will most likely be awesome, but i want the conclusion to the Myreque series (one quest left) rather than the conclusion of FairyTale, but it's a good thing seeing JaGeX finally finishing their storylines (only took them 5-6 years).

I couldnt place him before you said he worked on the myreque quests. I expect great things.

I would also like to see the ending of the myreque quest, but I doubt it will end anytime soon. We still havent entered castle drakan, explored the area and houses in front of the castle, north of Meyerditch. There is also loads of black space for a big vampire city to the east of there.

If anything, im expecting 3 more myreque quests.

Well, my memory might be a bit off-place but i think in the Main page article of the last myreque quest (legacy of seergaze) they said it was only one more quest tile the storyline end, i might check it later.

Nice little DevBlog, I found some of it funny; mostly at the part where he was talking to himself. Hopefully the FTP3 shall come out by the end of this year, it would be a very nice wrap-up in my opinion.

22-Apr-2008 - Myreque Part IV - Legacy of Seergaze Next

The Vyrewatch continue to draw blood tithes from the citizens of Meiyerditch, while the Saradominist powers of Misthalin seem unable to break Drakan's stranglehold over the dread land of Morytania. The two forces are bound by Guthixian Edicts, preventing any confrontation that would start another war between the gods.

Mercenaries trickle into Morytania through Paterdomus and are guided down to the frontline in Burgh de Rott, but they are not enough. In Meiyerditch, the little blood that remains in the veins of the townsfolk continues to flow. With such organised evil and so few allies, what new efforts can the Myreque make?

A new rumour has been heard among the assembled mercenaries near Paterdomus. One of their number saw something suspicious in the temple and believes you should investigate it.

Farther south, word comes that Safalaan has tasks for an enthusiastic, young and just-promoted private of the Myreque. Your part in the tale is about to get more involved...

What new secrets are to be discovered in Paterdomus? Can the Myreque strike back against the Vyrewatch? What has the mysterious Safalaan got in store for you? Cross the border, once again, into Morytania and these questions may well be answered.

Nothing about the next Myreque quest being the final one in the newspost.

It seems that the series will merge to the WGS series. The elves with their "Dark Lord" too.
