December 11, 200916 yr Does anyone have a rough estimate of how often ferocious rings drop? Would it be sustainable to use Ferocious Rings to get tasks and not have to use games necklaces/fairy rings to keep going to Kuradal? Or do they just not drop often enough? December 11, 200916 yr I'm not a member so I'm not entirely sure, but I keep hearing of people getting 2-3 per task. So, no, they aren't rare. Maybe 1/100 is my guess.
December 11, 200916 yr One of the FAQs this week on the RSOF was: "Why is the Ferocious Ring untradeable?" The Ferocious Ring wasnt meant to be an item for profit, it was meant to be an item for players who wish to use Kuradal as a master and her dungeon. The drop should be plentiful enough that you have one for the damage bonuses and a few in the bank for teleportation to her. Jagex have made them common enough so that you'll always have a few to use. That plus other players reports on the drops have said that it's quite common. December 11, 200916 yr Since each ring have 5 teleports, then you should be quite certain that it can be used regularly as teleports. However, I think the 1/100 chances are a bit off.I would rather say that it is perhaps 1/250 or so. Though I have heard about people getting several in a task, the opposite is also heard of. I have passed 900 kills without one. I also know of quite a lot of others, also struggling, well past 600-700 kills in her dungeon. But I guess that this will even out, given some time, and considering that 1/250, and even about 1/750 should be enough to keep them as teleportations, at least in the long run.
December 11, 200916 yr In a task of 240 or so gargoyles I got 2, then in a task of 212 hellhounds I got 1, and in a task of 212 greater demons I got 2 more, I've used up one already, and still have 4 left. I'm using the fairy ring from now on though because I want to make a big collection of them. That and the fact that I just made 400 slayer rings, so I have an easy way of getting to a fairy ring quickly. 99 HP, Attack, Strength, Defence, Summoning, Ranged, Herblore, Prayer, Agility, Magic, Slayer, Fletching, Fishing, Woodcutting, Mining, and Thieving. December 12, 200916 yr I'd say around 1-100/1-200 drop rate. [hide=Drops]Araxxor Eye x1 Leg pieces x2GWD: 5000 Addy bar Steam B Staff x3 Z Spear x6 Sara. December 12, 200916 yr I got one in my 80 Iron Dragon task, but I switched to the Ice Fortress ones due to over-crowding. Unless you're using them to bank dragon bones or something, you'll have more than enough. Though if you think you're running low, start using the new Fairy Ring. When you go feather dragon god, you never go back.
December 12, 200916 yr I must be pretty lucky, as my drop rate so far has been about 1 in 75. I don't know if the drop rate differs per monster, but to me so far I've gotten more from greaters than any other monster, and they seem to be rare from hellhounds. Of course, that could just be random, but it's possible that each monster has a different rate of dropping them.
