Sk8erfreak
This is pretty normal now, as others have said. I noticed it a month or two ago as well, didn't keep track of it so I don't know if it has been consistent up to now. I was going to buy 99 cooking since it would be pretty much free but it turned out I still burned more than it was worth at 91 cooking, not to mention it is extremely boring :P Good to know it is still possible though. 136 Combat, 2290+ Skill Total

Not like those extra levels means you'll screw up less bows/arrows. This website and its contents are copyright © 1999 - 2010 Jagex Ltd.
Ezz
I guess people have finally realised that getting cooking past 70 (for quests) is worthless. (I got my cooking lvl long before, if anyone wonders why my cooking lvl is kind of high). [insert birds flying in a circle here]Yes, that sig was annoying. Kimberly
It's highly unlikely the entire community suddenly had one big group epiphany and said, "Wow, I should stop training cooking!" and sell all of their cooking supplies. Simple fluctuating market trends, just plain ol' supply and demand, is the likeliest culprit. You might love cooking, you might hate it, you might think it's worthless, but that's not really what this topic is about, is it?

nerdboyxxx
Supply and demand, obviously. Like Lady_Ninane said, I highly doubt all the skillers in rs had a joint revelation to sell all their raw sharks :P. Still, I'm happy that (finally) a cooked shark is worth more than a raw one -.-. Youmu
I guess this is due to the new prayer update. More and more players want to buy the best food possible for pking, so the demand wins over supply. jords
Bought 80k raw sharks 1443 gp each sold them 1550 each. Thank you for the 8.56M profit :-). These sharks raise and lower all the time though.
Star_Fox
Its karma, it will change back soon my guess.. and cooking sharks is the best way for high levels.. and there are definitely more "skillers" then "pkers" (the most of them also skill anyways) define karma. OT: raw sharks are back at the top by like 20 gp. The gap will probably be higher anyways.
gspbeetle
Because sharks arent the best way to train cooking? monkfish or lobbies tend to be better.Plus all you need is an influx of fishers so raw shark supply > raw shark demand Lobster? Hell no, their difference between cooked and raw means you are losing money fast.Monkfish isnt that great either, consider you can burnt some of them.Sharks is the best and is now a even better cooking option.
