After the man has been healed, I repeat my previous questions.

Grim charges a geomancy spell which he uses to tunnel as fast as possible to the lichtens on Jen's mountain.

Kemios tries to create some small sound, earth, and transmog grenades. (Explosives experience pl0x)

well, i didnt get any explosive experience when i made em. you only get magic experience for the spec magic that you use on em. or maybe retech will change that.

Rocco, at least let an expert check the stuff before you do some strange ritual in the city, that guy was probably a litch or something.

I tell the mage what I can of the war and apocalypse. I attempt to use an empowerment blessing to ease his fatigue. I look over at a now conscious Earth to see if he sustained any real injury.

Well, at least just check to make sure it isn't something that is going to be bad. Do you want the only city to be destroyed?

You accidentally blow off your arm, making you think that it would be nice to have a teacher.

Every ivory mage you can find identifies the substance as silver, and the gem as a ruby with stored magical energy.

You dash up the incline quickly, where you emerge in a huge cathedral-sized room with a vaulted ceiling. The walls seem to be completely covered in webs, and a strange glowing emanates from the center of the room.

"I already answered you! Didn't you hear?"

 

-Grim

 

You pop up under the head Lichten, who proceeds to fall off the mountain.

 

-Iey

 

"This is worse than I thought. Where is the portal? We must reach it immediately, and fix the problem!"

 

Earth seems quite okay.

You begin to sprinkle the silver around the ruby, and will be done in one turn if Paul does not do anything.

grim... you are a fffing idiot. i pull out my bow, whie beginning to craft bows out of necro energy for my skeletons.

Igos uses necro to have skeletal arms hold down Rocco. He then blasts Rocco with a pyrokinesis wave. After doing so, he calls some city guards.

Grim catches the head lichten and brings him back (using geomancy) apologizing as he does so.

I look at Nex "I vow by the souls of my ancestors I will free your friend Jen, and return this stave to her. I have a special artifact that awaits me as well, but first I must prove myself."

After a moment's silence "Perhaps this is the path I must follow to complete my coming of age ritual. I thank you deeply."

 

(we can hold conversation in character without waiting for a role if its between group members?)

I follow Earth carefully into the room, forming spikes from the walls and beginning to charge geomancy.

Watching earth scurry up the passage, I choose to wait. Turning to the mage. "Where is this portal you speak of? I wish to help you close it."

(dude, you came up UNDER the leader of thye only force large and strong enough to help defend ikana. if you get a bad roll, he'll die, and ikana will be a lot more belaugered. thats worse than anything i've done in this game)

Kemios swears a lot, then tries to heal his arm.

Sorry, thunderstorm is rolling in, so I gotta go. I will have the stat gains for the epic campaign posted when I come back.

Two burly skeletal hands hold down Rocco, while you blast a huge hole in his side with a fire wave.

You begin falling down the mountain as well. The head Lichten seems to be swimming to safety just fine.

You smash Igos in the face with a fireball, before being restrained and hit. Something seems to be happening with the gem.

The walls seem hollow, making you unable to form spikes from the walls. You charge a geomancy spell.

 

-Tairn

 

"The portal is up the incline, but I need to be the one to close it. I'm the only one who can do it. Can you carry me up?"

 

-Kemios

 

You heal your arm.

It'll pass. The storm's moving fast, no worries.

Knowing my nimble being can't support him fully, I sling his arm over my shoulder to aid his walking instead, leaving myself completely defenseless. Hoping the mage's free arm is intact to cast spells, I slowly make my way up the incline, so as to not fall and cause further injury to the mage.

Time to go find someone who can helm me make explosives....

Well there is always hot ice... I really should develop more explosives :s
