Whatever. Ok, the 2016 Olympics in Rio are in a few hours. The stadiums are completed, and the opening ceremony is prepared, all that.

The first two nuclear power plants have been completed, near Rome and Naples. The cheap, 'clean' energy is being well received by the Italian public, and the government is being praised for their initiative.

 

The Italian military has been revamped successfully, and propaganda to reassure the italian citizens of their safety and the pride they should have in their armed forces is being issued. Public morale is at an all time high.

 

EGM is enjoying it's newfound existence, and discoveries on botanical sea dwellings have rapidly occured thanks to the youth schemes set up in 2014. More tests are occuring on natural life forms, however Italy recognizes the need for military security. As a result, a new arm of the organisation - EGMM is being created. It's primary aims are on mechanical equipment, with a main focus on creating support for the infantry.

I think that's too cutting edge at this point, and it's probably a bad idea to post a sci-fi picture like that, since it'll only encourage people to build impossible things at the moment.

 

Hovercrafts exist, yes, but it doesn't seem practical to use them as tanks right now. I'm not totally sure, but aren't hovercrafts light-weight? It doesn't seem very feasible for the air jets to be powerful enough to hold a heavy tank yet.

1. What's Luna Base? If it's a space thing, then sure.

2. It's solo and team. There's an individual and a team score, but you can move on if you're part of the winning team or you score high enough as an individual. I qualified both ways, so my team and I are going to the State Competition. The biggest competition will be from Hunter's College, a really prestigious private school with the top 1% of kids from New York City, since they always win. <_<

Lol, only because of my nations uber isolationism... The Moon Base, like the Mars program, are out there, not in my country, so my chances of getting attacked at slim.

What competition, Retech? My school's math team has a few geniuses (like me :P ) but the rest of Massachusetts is also [bleep]ing smart so we generally don't do so well regionally. AMC this week though, hm?

EGG begins preparing for a fight against the Republic of the Congo. Of course, they don't know that. Less money is being spent on other side projects and more is being put towards funding our military.

Oh, I see. I never did Mathcounts since I wasn't that intense back then. I know some people who have though.

I did pretty well on the AMC 10 last year (I think I qualified for the AIME, but I didn't take it for some reason). I'll be taking it again this year. Hopefully the AIME too.

Nicely done, by the way. I haven't won anything notable since 8th grade myself.

 

Back to Hegemony...

I forgot to re-mention the military alliance with the DRC, and they'll be supplying us with weapons (somehow) and they'll help us surround the Rep. of Congo. So if you were wondering how I was planning on winning, that's how. I'll start the fighting tomorrow, in case I forget to post again. (it'll take...8 days? 4 years sounds about right)

(I was just guaranteeing their independence and providing them with military support since all these large empires are emerging around them. The same is true with Belgium and Luxembourg. And I was also helping the Irish Republic as well.)
