Lol, shooting down bombs, now there is a novel idea. I drop....600 bombs, cost of about 500 US Dollars each, plus getting the plane to the Stratos Sphere. You launch 6,000 missiles, since 1 in 10 is probably good number, which cost around 1,200 Dollars each...So effectively for every 500 dollars I spend you are spending 12,000 Dollars...I fail to see how this is protecting you.

One could do air-sonar or weak EM-emmiters/detectors.

Except that it gets harder and harder to go up as you go along (there is less lift due to smaller air density), and you're using a fighter/bomber. Commercial aircraft are just that much bigger and don't need to swerve and duck like a fighter.

 

Besides, there's no need to fire at a bomb before it gets near, which at the time will be very easy to shoot down with the billions I've put into the project. Not that hard to hit a bomb.

And I thought I pointed out why it is? Let's see... 7.5 Billion increasing 10% for 6 years is 13 billion. You pointed out that the growth is unsustainable, which is why I stated that it did not increase this year. However, if people vote to bring it back down, then growth will simply pick back up again. So either way it works.

 

Either medium speed sustainable growth or short bursts of fast growth followed by slow growth, just like the Japanese economy did after world war 2.

Air Sonar wouldn't work, since the sound waves would dissipate to quickly.

Em emmiters is basically what I suggested...

EM-waves are easiley detectable so I'll go with that.

Australia begins work on advanced targeting systems and anti-air defenses.

 

Advanced targeting systems are being based off of the US Navy's Goalkeeper system, which uses a minigun sort of thing with a computer which can react to a nearby threat in about a second.

Hitting a bomb with a missile is going to be fairly difficult... Due to the fact that they are not perfectly aerodynamic and are moving forwards when they are dropped at an unknown speed, falling at a potentially unknown speed and you have less than a minute to work out where they are and how to hit them...

 

In other news Stratos Jets have started carrying empty bomb casings along with their normal payload. This has meant a 20% reduction in active bombs, but a 130% increase in bombs, per say.

Thus 1060 bombs to intercept Retech. Even with one missile per bomb thats fairly crippling.

So basically you're risking an international incident to cost me 1.2 million, at most.

 

Oh btw, how far is space from the Earth compared to the stratosphere?

Em-Waves...I am not sure...I haven't really looked into it that much...you would basically need to send out broad spectrum pulses and then look for deviations between, say, radio waves and UV rays...though obvouisly variation would be normal...thus you are looking at probably a 10 year project to work out what a stealthed craft looks like...course you could rush it into service straight away, but the efficency would be terrible...

Or you could just use old-fashion techniques in a more efficient way to accomplish the same thing...at least until you figure the new ways out.

It doesn't need verification...it already exists today! (2009) If it's out on the internet, then it's probaly a few years behind anything the government has, so I think it doesn't need confirmation.

Anyway using the experiance on the Swiss Army Tank, P-Jets are being slightly upgraded, there are no major changes, though fuel capacity has increased by 10%.

EDIT: Keep in mind that most of the annexed countries were South Asian tigers, which were semi-developed economies with 10% growth yearly. Then couple that with the fact that Japanese companies have been given a leg up by the government, with pro business policies, and a short period of fabulous economic growth isn't unrealistic.

10% growth rate would utterly destroy your economy unless all Japanese people were secretly machines who didn't need to eat or sleep.

Fine. Since I posted 10 trillion GDP without objection, I will factor in a 5% growth rate for two years, leaving me with 11 trillionish GDP.

EDIT: Using a 5% growth rate since 2009, my GDP would be 10.5 trillion. So I will just go with a growth rate of 5% and move from there.
