Don't expect anything from germany as I set up measures to keep spies out of government (intensive background checks being the least of which)

So it probably wrecks agriculture in about 5 different countries. Plus trade is also kinda wrecked, as it kills tons of canals and all that.

Germany, how do you feel about Switzerland draining one of your most important rivers?

Yeah, that was the other awesome factor about it. Since it covers Switzerland and then is terminated(well reduced from 2000 M^3/s to 500 M^3/s) just as it leaves...Sides, Germany tried to Invade, failed and then we talked about it and came to an agreement.

Well I knew you wouldn't agree. I know how you hate facing facts.

As I have 15B left over, I split between 7.5B for each project for Infrastructure and Defenses :)

It's a REALLY big shaft.

I didn't catch fire, I used the can of hairspray as a flamethrower and pointed it at my arm.

how are you going to ignore my posts when I'm offering to let you live as my vassal in two weeks time?

Germany already tried invading, but Switzerland destroyed the attacking force with mustard gas mines.

Japan stores the large surplus it has in a reserve fund, which contains funds which aren't spent from the surplus. So far, there is about 20 billion going into the fund yearly, with the rest spent on the usual.

The only difference between a disagreement between friends, an argument between strangers, and a feud between enemies is the ability to reconcile.

Well, what was the agreement?

Also, couldn't Grim just, you know, fly over the mines with helicopters? Or use, god forbid, mine clearers, or perhaps just heavily armored transports?

I gave them back 500 Cubic Meters of Water per second buy building a condensing tower, and they didn't invade. I think it is somewhere...hang on.

Well I knew you wouldn't agree. I know how you hate facing facts.

That wouldn't help, Draining an ocean and giving back 1/4th as a compromise wouldn't help anyone.

A minimum flow to the Rhine and I get free power (archi I did not invade I was escorting contractors in after you failed to answer a legal complaint. You then violated several treaties on chemical warfare...

LNYvk.png

Well, that was extremely stupid Grim. You put yourself in a situation of dependence to Archi, where not only do you have a majorly reduced agricultural and trading setup, but if he ever become enemies with you, then he can flip the switch and you have no electricity.

Hegemony-Spain

Doom, it doesn't really matter, it was agreed. If Grim want to renegotiate then fine...

German troops equipped with gas masks and tanks as well as over head cover march up to the upcoming dam in the Rhine and with some heavy moving equipment with operators also using as masks start demolishing the dam. The lawyers are also sent in with a military guard.

Australia makes a note to Russia that the space above it is monitored and any spy satellites can and will be blown out of space.

Switzerland reminds Australia that Satalites are protected by national sovereignty...Like saying 'I will blow up your town if it has a spy in'

To be honest, spying doesn't work well. And even if I could, there's really no information that I can tell you that your spies "discovered" since it's nigh impossible to do that in this game. Oh, and I know nothing about other countries because no one sends me every detail, so yeah. Don't expect much from it.

Doom I have already set up nuclear power plants etc. to provide power. Also don't assume that the Rhine gives most of the water in germany. As of now I have been building desalinization plants.

LNYvk.png

"As of now I have been building desalinization plants" That sentence seem wrong... Either your starting now, or you were building them before.

Your economy has become dependent on the swiss, if they ever shut off power, you might have some, but nowhere near enough. If you build enough, and have a surplus of power, then you'll lose a ton of money from your budget.

Of course the Rhine isn't the only source of water, but you don't really understand the importance of rivers to agriculture, and trade.

Oh Doom, don't be such a Wet Blanket. For the moment Switzerland is providing free Energy to about 5/6ths of Europe, and at a pittance for the other 1/6th...Any economic hardship from losing the Rhine has been offset, and since Germany, France and the Netherlands still gets Sediment from the river, as well as the water flow not being entirely cut off...and water coming back to Earth as Rain....its really not as major as all that.

Well I knew you wouldn't agree. I know how you hate facing facts.

He wouldn't lose any more from his budget than he would if the Swiss weren't providing power anyways.

Well... by now I have several methods of dealing with it some of which I find more interesting than others. I am cutting one of my projects (project cancer) down to 1/2 of a year from ending now and I am again sending a team of lawyers to sue the swiss government (for an end result of the deconstruction of the dam).

LNYvk.png

Supposing Switzerland let the Lawyers in, and supposing that Switzerland took the case seriously, you have already settled over the building of the Dam...

But we can cross that bridge when we come to it.

Not really. He can't sell essentially infinite energy that he gets for free for the same price as it used to be. The price of a kw is probably less than a penny for him now, which means that he's making no money back, and the cost to run all the nuclear plants and all is getting no money back ,and he's losing money.

(or you know I could cut the cords to the Rhine dam)

EDIT: Archi the lawyers are still being sent.

The lawyers were hanged by a lynch mob.

Because the Swiss are xenophobic.
