Your economy has become dependent on the swiss, if they ever shut off power, you might have some, but nowhere near enough. If you build enough, and have a surplus of power, then you'll lose a ton of money from your budget.

Of course the Rhine isn't the only source of water, but you don't really understand the importance of rivers to agriculture, and trade.

Not really. He can't sell essentially infinite energy that he gets for free for the same price as it used to be. The price of a kw is probably less than a penny for him now, which means that he's making no money back, and the cost to run all the nuclear plants and all is getting no money back ,and he's losing money.

 

Then that's for Germany to sort out.

Also Germany doesn't have to import half as much Coal and Oil, nor does it have to pay the salaries of those people...His nuclear plants are overzealous, since I don't plan to stop the flow of Electricity, and have made quite clear I have no annexture aims. Attempting to interfer with the Basel Hydrological Plant would be silly, and I am unlikely to end its lifetime early, since it powers most of Europe and would destroy trade and weaken the economy if the power flow was cut off. I have informed countries that this may happen and hopefully they will have some redundancy, but who knows...

And Mather it doesn't really matter. Like the Moon and Mars, there is not much point in me putting my base on a map until there is cause to do so...Until then it is just pointless.

Also I doubt the IRA would be happy to return to how things were, when actually you killed their people for no reason...and if they were rilled up enough to attack America then they are not going to be stoppable by a declaration of peace.

Also the IRA isn't necessaily one monolithic structure, anyone with the gripe with Northern Ireland and the knowhow to make a bomb or shoot a gun can do something in the name of the IRA... Peace is unlikely to spontanously break out...just like in Iraq....Which should be in the middle of building its nuclear weapons since America and Britain pulled out :rolleyes:

Well actually spies can be helpful, people dont tell me anything, if I put a spy in there they have to give me a full report of their military stuff if its been in there for a while and I ask for it. Also I can steal techs, which is what I did from Retech. I didn't blow anything up XD, also spies can be used for propaganda, assassination, production halting, data corrupting, theft, etc.

 

Anyway, my other research will be done soon, probs tomorrow.

I've already given people a "full" report of military stuff, at least the stuff that is logically visible to a low class spy. You also have to ask a few times, since it changes so often.

And if they refuse to give the report to you/insist that the spies failed?

 

I have to agree with Sere, spies don't work very well in this game.

Well then you have to begin a crusade to convince people to give them some of their low class military knowledge, at least what can be gleaned through observation. I think both sides are being unfair about it. It's much harder to get a spy into a top secret government facility than people think, but it's also much easier to get a spy into the country that people think. So if someone sends a spy, you can tell them what the spy observes and send them on their merry way. :P

I think the person sending the spy should have to solve a puzzle or something set by the person they are attempting to spy on.... Then if they succeed they can ask one question, which the other person must answer truthfully....

I think that your idea is good, but the question needs to be more direct, like: What is blah blah blah doing in blah blah blah? Then you tell them what you told the people you sent there. Say that you sent them to attack a place, but you never told them you were attacking, then the spy wouldn't find out. It sorta gets confusing, so let's just use our best judgement.

Meh, I don't mind, I just use the smash and grab technique...someone announces something, I steal it and use it... Works far better than trying to work stuff out...Course it only works if you know what the other person has built...

Saab starts working on a new class of stealth fighters as well as anti-stealth technology.

Japan continues working on its defences, beginning phase three. This part of the project mainly focuses on anti-missle, anti-bomb, and anti-stealth aircraft defences. Furthermore, missles have been installed (phase 2) which are capable of shooting down stratos bombers within the area around them. Their accuracy isn't terribly great, but considering there are hundreds of these missles, stratos bombers will most likely be shot down. These will be improved to make them cheaper and more cost effective.

Well I can't tell you how I'm building my defences, because that would ruin the point. If you sent a spy, I could tell you how they looked.

Retech, you do know that the Statros-sphere is about 20 Kilometers in the air... Your missiles would be terribly expensive(Fuel) and terrible ineffective...

Don't you think that a plane would have a much problem getting to the stratos-sphere? Anyways, the defences are primarily to intercept the bombs, which would be much easier.

Don't be silly Rocco. The method I'm using has already been tested and proven. You just have to figure out which one I'm using. :P

Well the only way you can really do Anti-Stealth would be to send out broad spectrum pulses, as opposed to just Radio(Radar)... But you would need someway to detect it, thus making it a 5-7 year project(to my mind anyway)

 

I guess your other way would be to send up satalites which take real time pictuers and just scan those for moving dots...Which are probably aircraft.

Well Archi, if I am using your technology as a precedent, then the defences would already be completed. It was part of my very first project, though it's just entering the installation phase (you can't build something before you make it :P).
