The Hegemony (12th Feb = 2018, Part 2)

Featured Replies

Well you could've sent 500,000 soldiers WITHOUT weapons to do all that stuff. Of course I'd rather prefer it if Malaysia remained the color it is now, even if it is leaning towards you. It ruins my color scheme!

Anyways, Japan petitions Switzerland to join the TFTA, since it lifted its embargo on India (I think India still has the embargo though)

To Ross, it was basically that it has a military alliance and political alliance with Japan. Also, it's been colored red on the map repeatedly. It's not totally under control, but it doesn't mean that they haven't joined Japan. It's just that authority hasn't fully been placed in the transition.

Great! Singapore starts negotiating with Malaysia for a new deal on fresh water (the deal expires in 2012).

Well that was when they were becoming an uber proxy of yours. Now it's just like you're helping them and we're coexisting, so I'm fine by that. Oh, mind lifting that embargo? :P

So...you haven't actually done much other than make Indonesia act like a puppet state?

If that's the case, then it should be easy enough to sway their favour by 2030.

Puppet state?

They've joined Japan essentially, so the republic is pouring in money to fix its infrastructure and schooling. I don't think it'll be hard to keep their favor now that I am creating schools and jobs. After all, a pro-Japanese education will create a generation of Pro-Japanese people.

Dusty needs to follow that 5 year rule too

It's a REALLY big shaft.

I didn't catch fire, I used the can of hairspray as a flamethrower and pointed it at my arm.

how are you going to ignore my posts when I'm offering to let you live as my vassal in two weeks time?

That's why I said essentially. I'm basically saying that I've already gotten so far in it that Ross needs to make a massive effort to convince them. Which is hard, since basically all their important needs are being taken care of. Not to mention I'm not letting his government workers into the country. And his people need to get Visas.

On a slight side note, when is Dungeoneering back up?

Also

Russia AGAIN (getting no damn responses) sends an ambassador to Australia and America

It's a REALLY big shaft.

1. They're part of the Japanese-free trade area, so they are receiving most of their supplies from there.

2. Ross' people can't come into Indonesia to build schools and stuff, as that is already taken care of.

Ico-

Its back up now, people just haven't joined in.

If you want to oppose something then you just call a vote of 4 or more against.

Well I knew you wouldn't agree. I know how you hate facing facts.

Retech-

1. He can subsidise it.

2. Course they can, there is nothing stopping them....He sends better teachers or builders or whatever then they are gonna choose him over you, arn't they...

Well I knew you wouldn't agree. I know how you hate facing facts.

What do I need to oppose? I'm defending my existing position, which is that Indonesia has no reason to go with Australia, considering the positive benefits that they are receiving from Japan, not to mention the even greater culture differences. And he can't send people unless they receive visas. Who isn't going to give them visas? me.

Japan leaves the TFTA, so that it can give a tariff to any subsidized goods coming in outside the Japanese free trade area. (So basically, the subsidy is given to me)

Retech, I was refering to Ico stopping Dusty....

And culturally...Look at the Balkens...they are culturally similar but are constantly at war....Culture does not equal acceptance.

Well I knew you wouldn't agree. I know how you hate facing facts.

I don't agree with this 5 year annex rule, and I think it should be 20~ years.

No country would willingly surrender their independancy in 5 years in real life. So yeah, I'll be negotiating with Indonesia for the next 20 years to hopefully get them to unite under Australia's flag.

2Xeo5.png

Ross... I agree on priciple, but 20 years is 40 days. The game would be incredibly slow and people would start wars just to annex stuff faster.

Well I knew you wouldn't agree. I know how you hate facing facts.

It's the five day rule. :!:

Indonesia doesn't really care, since it's practically under Japanese rule already as a protectorate, though not fully integrated. It has already declared that it shares foreign relations with Japan.

But the 5 day rule is goddamn stupid. It becomes a game of whoever can "Initiate talks" with the most countries at once.

2Xeo5.png

I know...But Sere disagrees and imposed it. I wanted a system of influencing other countries by percentage points, so that if one country didn't want another country to take over one of its neighbours it could stop it, without annexing that country...

But Sere said it was too complicated, and no one else cared to vote....

Well I knew you wouldn't agree. I know how you hate facing facts.

Except then they would get overstretched and be destroyed.

I have basically formed a union with two countries, created a tribal administered territory, and a city state. <_<

Maybe just limit it?

You can only annex upto 3 countries, then you can only annex through war afterwards

It's a REALLY big shaft.

Does a tribally administered territory with no military or economic value count as a country? :P
