Russia begins precautions for the solar flare

It's a REALLY big shaft.

I didn't catch fire, I used the can of hairspray as a flamethrower and pointed it at my arm.

how are you going to ignore my posts when I'm offering to let you live as my vassal in two weeks time?

All backup generators on hospitals, etc. as well as crowd control units are being readied, a total grid shutdown will be initiated 3 hours before the flare's radiation hits Earth and will last for a total of nine hours. Backups of all important information is being stored in radiation-proof underground facilities.

Dusty, it was 18 tonnes, and I never said it was a large amount for Russia...I said that Russia had 588 Tonnes left.

It has, in 2009, 606.7

Ico just took it to be a large amount.

In other news North Korea joins the TFTA and is buying Uranium though Switzerland, which is buying it from Russia. (Since nuclear weapons are disallowed NK doesn't really pose a nuclear threat...no matter how much Uranium they have)

Just a general point, a decent fighter tends to cost 244 Million to build...So the offers are somewhat light.

Well I knew you wouldn't agree. I know how you hate facing facts.

Thats why even though I spent a heck ton last time, I still got an epic deal :)

It's a REALLY big shaft.

Indeed....though people often confuse internal spending withe exteral spending....If you spend money inside your own country you will eventually get it back....

Well I knew you wouldn't agree. I know how you hate facing facts.

Well I think it will take a year or two to get it all back, I mean, uranium ain't cheap :)

Russia asks about the prices Switzerland are charging for their uranium to NK, to see if Swiss are trying to swindle them :D, if they're I'll cut out the middleman

It's a REALLY big shaft.

Russia isn't all that angry really

Though as you already control a HELL load of cash, Russia offers NK uranium for the same price they're giving it to the Swiss, making it impossible for the Swiss to make a profit anymore :D

It's a REALLY big shaft.

Japan, the wealthy, bids the paltry sum of 125 million.

Oh yes Archi, your spies get stuck at the passport line. Their government must first request a workers visa in order to get into the country.

If you need a working visa to get in your country, immigration is 0%? That really affects economy

Sorry for the double post, but this is more important than the other thing:

Japan asks the UN if a coalition of soldiers can invade and restore peace into Somalia. After the rebels are driven out and a coalition government is formed, then the country will be handed to UN governance (light blue color). The terms are basically that the state is demilitarised, and is under protection of the UN.

Japan also asks if any nation would like to join the coalition. After Somalia, Sudan is expected to be converted into UN governance.

---------------

It doesn't, because you could just get a visa. <_< They're spies, so I'm assuming that they would want to stay longer than a week, so they wouldn't come in as tourists.

Scandinavia starts making more cars that are hydrogen powered instead of using gasoline, this results in more oil being available for trade.

In other words:

Less polution.

More oil for you to buy.

Russia offers 50% of the uranium they have left to trade for all their oil (remember Russia has LOTS of uranium)

The Japanese automakers have been working with the Japanese government to create a new fuel tank which is safe, efficient, and works on both 100% biofuels and 100% gasoline, or any of the specified combinations in the middle.

Japan shares the moss-oil process that its scientists have developed (it actually exists) to SIRO TEMP. Countries may now create biofuels using moss, specifically one that grows best in humid areas (these ones are more oily and suitable for use). However, the Japanese automakers are still five or so years ahead of their American counterparts on this research (I basically shared how to make moss-oil). This process is not close to perfected, and can only be grown fast enough for local consumption, but it offers a ray of hope for communities with lots of moss...and a single car.

Japan has also begun an infrastructure project to build levees on all the major islands, in order to protect against tsunamis and storm surges. India is urged to construct and connect a levee in Malaysia, so that the levee is more effective.

You oblivously have no idea how much oil Norway is able to extract from the ocean bottom.

Anyways I ain't interested in a mineral that has no use due to nuclear bombs being banned and better power alternatives available.

Moss oil, eh? Let's just say scandinavian forests are full of moss, moist moss.

Swizterland begins wholesale manufacture of the electric car. In 1.5 years, 3 days, the Rhine Hydrological Power Station will be completed and "We will make electricty so cheap that only the rich will burn oil"(Edison(I think), except he was talking about candles...)

Well I knew you wouldn't agree. I know how you hate facing facts.

Probably the car companies...I don't think the Federal Assembly would be manufacturing car parts between sessions.

The government is offering rather large incentives to people buying and producing electric cars...

Basically, free eletricity for life.

Well I knew you wouldn't agree. I know how you hate facing facts.

That'll put you into so much debt O_O
