The SSR begins phasing out the Ukrainian Hryvnia (currency) and the Romanian Leu, and starts replacing it with the Euro. There will be a bit of destabilization of the economy for a short period, but it shouldn't be too bad as Romanian and Ukrainian dollars weren't worthless and so can be exchanged for Euros fairly easily.
