Nomad's requiem

I don't seem to get this guy down. I met my "requiem" for 5 times now, and I'm getting frustrated that I can't beat this guy with my levels.

 

What I use:

Neitisnot helm

Fury amulet

Karils top

Karils skirt

Barrows gloves

Dragon boots

Zamorakian spear (stab)

Diamond bolts in quiver

 

Inventory: super attack and super strength potion (4)

DDS for specs

Rune cross bow

Rest brews and super restores (4) in a 3:1 ratio brews to restores.

War tortoise carrying more brews/restores in the same ratio.

 

 

Before going in the tent, I brew, restore and pot up melee. Unleash DDS specs first, praying piety and magic protect all the time.

 

I get him to 1/4 after he regains health. I have not seen the berserk melee attack yet.

Don't waste a brew to boost your HP before fighitng, instead go to oogloog and use the pool there and boost your stats with a sip of super defence/attack/strength. This will be useful for the initial spec.

 

Don't waste your time with magic protect. It does nothing. If you can use the ancient curses then do that and use them to sap his magic, attack, defense and strength. Change to melee protect when he goes berserk. It doesn't stop him 100% but it helps.

 

Save yourself some money and use black dhide. It costs a fortune to keep repairing barrows.

 

See if you can borrow a BGS for the spec (it lowers his defense). The DDS is pretty pointless as he is immune to poison and his defense is so high to get any decent hits in.

 

Stick with ranging for most of the way (other than the BGS spec). I tried several times with melee and failed each time. Use a combination of diamond (e) and ruby (e) bolts. Dont use ruby bolts before his 75 or HP-1 attacks incase they activate, switch to diamond instead.

 

When he goes into berserk mode take off the sap magic prayer (it's a waste from here on in) and put on protect from melee. Change to your godsword at this point too.

If you have void i would use it here. I tried to range him and found that i was drinking brews/rests to much to be able to attack him. I ended up switching up to rocktails and bring a few brews/rests for i get down to 1 hp. I melee'd him for the most part, and did a little range when he had me frozen. I used a Statius Warhammer to spec on him to get his def low and use a whip+rune defender for most of the fighting.

 

If you don't use ancient curses, then make sure to have Eagle Eye, Steel Skin, and Rapid Restore on at all times. Since you're going to being using brews/rests you shouldn't have to worry getting low on prayer.

Time your brewing so that it doesn't interfere with your attacks.

Make sure you are taking the restore pot every 3 brews to make sure your att/str remain at the higest level.

 

that was my mistake the first time i fought him and died.

I did it in full void melee and ags, was left with about 8 brews and 3 sup restores. But im almost maxed on stats

Is he actually weak to stab? I used whip and defender and shredded him.

In several guides it is mentioned to use a ZS, thats why I bought it. (I also use it for some slayer tasks....)

 

I do not have full void yet. It takes forever, even in 120+ clans. And I don't really like the mini game too much, so I only play for a small amount of time.

Bring a Spirit Kyatt and about 200 scrolls for when your war tortise runs out.

 

The Kyatt hits accuratly, and hard, up to 30. Spam the scrolls, and before the fight change left click to "cast special" instead of "take bob"

Rightclicking and selecting "take bob" takes what? less then a second?

 

Although the Kyatt glitch has been patched it still is the way I managed to beat him.

Hitting 58 combos was win. Lol

YES! the kyatt is amazing with the scrolls you can tare him to shreds with just spamming the attack, but only use this after your tort is depleted due to the fact you just can't get enough food in your inventory.

 

I would definitely range i beat him with 84 range in void. easy. Use ruby bolts except when hes about to hit you with the mega uber spec switch to diamond due to the drain of ruby.

 

Also avoid the 75 hit saves a lot of food. Take a few rock tails as a just in case your health falls below 30 (i died due to this a few times). I really can't think of anything else it's mostly trial and error sadly.

I agree, just range him for the whole way, it helps that you can just stand in the middle of the bombs and not take any damage, which if you're fail at bosses like I am kinda helps calm down the battle because it reduces movement.

Well I just beat Nomad earlier today and used the zeal to get 99 att. :)

 

I wore full void melee, dfs, whip, d boots, barrows gloves, skillcape and diamond bolts(e)

 

For my inventory I had 1 pure set (4) dragon claws (borrowed), rune c' bow, 2 brew sets (3:1 brews to super rests) rest of iventory rocktails. I had a tort filled with brew sets and 2 rocktails. I started by drinking a sip of pure set and used both claws specs, I speced everytime I got to 50% and I used another sip of pure set then to.

 

Rocktails are to keep stats boosted for a while then when I ran out I used brews. I personally found that whip ripped him to shreds and I ended with 3 brew sets. I used rune c'bow and diamond bolts for when you get frozen. Make sure to piety the whole fight and protect melee when he goes beserk.(your using super rests so its not like your going to run out of prayer anyways)

 

It took me quite a few tries to finally find a set up that worked for me but this one definatly did and it was really easy. You can swap out items for cheaper alternatives if you like, I used dfs for the massive defense bonus but you could use a rune defender to I bet it works well to.
