is this achievable?

i have decided that i am going for 16k jelly kills

 

there are several reasons for this

 

1)doing a few hundred a day wont take too much time ( i have very little)

2)gonna get lots of charms

3)gonna get all my combats to 90, which will get me to 121 combat over all

4)should get a fair amount of money

5)gonna get a ton of clues

 

my question is: do you think this goal is realistic?

 

i realize that there are more efficient things and better clue droppers but forget that. do you think that i can kill 16k jellies w/o going insane.

 

the only hitch is that ill probably stop when the new skill comes out.

That's kind of difficult to say, as it varies from person to person. Some people can get 10's of thousands of kills at one monster, as for me, my attention span is so short, I'd probably find some other "shiny" object, so to speak, and get distracted, then more than likely forget about it. If you have the attention span, I say it's realistic if you enjoy some combat, and you have the clues breaking it up, so realistic, I say yes, long, very.

for me it would depend on how you do your clues, like at the end of your playing time or right when you get the drop? If you take a lot of breaks doing clues it will take significantly longer, but if you only do one or two a day then that should probably allow for enough breaks to keep the insanity away and still keep your goal achievable.

Sooo, are you trying to get every clue at least once and kill 16k jellies? Or would you stop if you achieved one but not the other?

I would be better to focus on dust devils or other npc's.

Jelly's are ok drops and there charm rate isn't too good. Dusties however have the d chain chance, a lot of alchables and a very nice charm drop rate for there level.

I'd say you're insane for trying, I can't even stand a slayer task of Jellies :P But it's possible of course, though possible without getting bored is a different question.

Without a doubt, it's achievable. But the problem kicks in when you decide to go for it. Can you stay focussed long enough to achieve this?

I can't even stand a task of jellies. I go like: jelly...click...jelly...ooohhhh nice shiny thing...and then after 10 minutes I think: I was doing jellies, not staring at a nice shiny thing!!

 

If you do a clue a day, just when you feel you need a break, I think you can handle it.

You didn't asked this in the first place if you aren't much of a focussed player ;)

Well, technically, if you put your mind to it everything is acheivable. The problem with the goal is the reward - You only get clue scrolls, and a few rune helms. I'd actually suggest aviansies because they drop one clue every 100-200 kills plus the longterm reward of adamantite bars which might keep you motivated (cash is always nice)

ok so far the consensus is that i am insane.

but it is possibl if i put my mind to it.

 

just so you guys know this is gonan be a fairly long term goal. i kinda hope to finish it by april or so but who knows.

I say at least go for it. The worst that can happen is you give up, and you gain some combat xp, some drops, and some clues! I'll be on now and then to root you on! Lol

Slay, or jsut kill green dragons. Do you more good, and they drop clues rather often it seems.

two things about that:

1) i dislike the wilderness for such a thing. i am not really in it for the money just the fun of doing clues. the xp and money are just side effects. in this case want for clues > the want to go to the wildy

2) as i have said slayer is not a thing i want to do at the moment.
