300 favor is spent to call down beams of light upon the shades. Construction of the shrine continues.

 

The beams of light cannot penetrate the thick darkness. However, the shrine is finished and the darkness fades. The spirits inside the shade are released, and culminate inside one of your spearmen, who becomes a hero (you can name him if you want). The hero is also blessed by your god.

 

The scientists sets two people to work out ways to make the trebuchet better and the rest attempt to make something using the principle of bending wood to launch projectiles linearly (balista/scorpion).

The jaffa work on developing a martial arts style.

Ra prays for Bob to dispose of the diety guarding the pronghorns, spending 200 points.

 

The catapult is about as good as you can make it right now. The jaffa begin developing a martial arts style, but at the moment they look like bumbling buffoons. The diety protecting the pronghorn is easily killed, and the pronghorns drop dead. Your advisors theorize that they were divine pronghorns, and that they could've been very valuable.

The group brings 100 monks and two warrior high priests and one ceremonial high priest to the temple before with half of the rest of the armed forces going to get the object.

Archi inaugerates a ritual of Cathood, sending out the oldest children(10 each year(how are we doing population growth, by the way?)) into the forest and mountains to discover new lands and to become Cats among Men(As it were).

Seeker instructs the childern that climbing to the tallest peaks and exploring the lands of the future outposts are desired, but that any and all discovery is encouraged. All of the children are given 2 unit of Lizard Steaks each as well as 1 unit of bows spread between them, and 10 units of arrows spread between them, as well as bone clubs, swords and other stuff made of bone)

10 Domestic Lizards are trained specifically for them to go out with.

 

To make up the new deficet:

 

20 extra lizards are killed to provide the extra meat.

10 extra lizards are domestically trained.

1 extra unit of yew is cut per year

10 extra units of pine are cut

1 extra unit of bow string is made

1 extra unit of bows are made

10 extra units of arrow shafts are made

10 extra units of bone tips are made

10 extra units of claw vanes are made

 

Research:

10 Magi also look into researching how to train Lizards to be warfighting Lizards.

30 Magi are researching the materials for arrow heads

7 Magi are researching local flora.

Right now, population growth varies, ranging from 0-20% each year. It's not terribly realistic at this point, but it keeps it faster paced until we get into the civilization/slower phase of the game, where I'll start keeping better track of that.

 

So far, your child explorers have found the area on the mountain, close to a spring and the river. They report it may be the perfect spot for a trade post (if you built a road over the mountain) or even a town, as they could sustain themselves on the multitudes of rodents and other creatures living there.

The hero volunteers to come along to retrieve the object. Half of your armed forces arrive at the base of a tall chain of mountains.

The party has considerable difficulty flying over the mountains, before eventually arriving at...a small inlet! Your advisors whisper to you, "down in there!"

The decay beast decends while the juggernaughts begin attacking the first row. The oracle guards zap the decay beast and forces it to retreat, while the juggernaughts are quite afraid as well (since the powerful beast ran), so they hide behind some bushes and ferns. Your god tells you that decay is your friend. -hint hint-

 

All around is a beautiful paradise with pastel colored mushrooms, flowers the size of trees, and a bright yellow sun.

The party travels for what seems like hours underwater, and emerge on the other side. Surprisingly, they could still breathe, though the fire dragons had a bit of trouble. Your party emerges in a fanciful wonderland, with pastel colored mushrooms, rainbow colored butterflies, and animals of all different kinds. There appears to be some fighting up ahead.

The corpses dissolve as the Jaffa touch them.

The scientists realize that they have nothing to use as the bow string, as the rubber bands are much too weak.

 

Three warrior high priests come as well. Scouts check for a route up the mountain.

 

The scouts find several routes up over the mountain. There appears to be a well traversed one between two peaks, a less-beaten track around a peak, and a path carved out of falling snow. There also appears to be a tunnel.

i set fire to the scathe, freeze them, whip them (wind) , shade them, blind them, and do other things to get rid of them.

The animal sinew is far too weak to create such a large siege weapon. However, conviniently, they have made a crude crossbow.

 

The group goes through the path less have gone through. 1000 favor is sacrificed to teach the high priests light magik.

 

The group becomes stuck in a powerful blizzard. No wonder less people have gone through this path. The High priests are endowed with powerful light magicks, second only to your hero himself. (Is the hero coming on the trip?)

The Scathes are surprised by the landing of several elementals, and they retreat to an area close to the Oracle. The elementals also take up positions by the Oracle. The Oracle guards are preparing their magical spells and rituals, possibly to summon something.

The scientists try thick ropes of tightly braided animal hides that have been boiled in water.

Well I know the elementals can be infected, sooo...

 

Juggernaughts are sent to infect the elementals, which will then be used to attack the oracle guards with rot breath.

 

The surrounding lands are turned to rot as this is happening.

me have idea.. i still send the reg elemental to the ritual, but have the blue(ice) create ice sheilds, blocking attempts to infect. if that doesnt work, i set th e fire to create a barier of fire to incinerate all who attack. also, the other elementals send attacks to discourage any scathe offensives

The group battles back through the blizzard and goes up the well traversed path. They are ambushed by trolls throwing rocks, but they quickly pass by without much incident. The soldiers gape in awe at the beauty of the land, before seeing a powerful fire up ahead.

Several crude crossbows are made; it is about as good as it can get right now. The animal hides work somewhat, though the ballista is still quite inaccurate.

Your forces turn the area around the Scathe to rot, but your forces are stopped by a towering inferno of a forest fire, burning on the grass on the area, which appears very flammable.

The barrier of fire stops the Scathe offensive, but springs a massive fire. The oracle priests begin to work on their ritual faster, afraid that their paradise is being ruined. (Two actions)

The troops advance towards their objective (if I find you people there this is going to get interesting)

EDIT: If the scathe are found then high priests shoot arcs of burning light at them and archers shoot flaming arrows. 400 favor is sacrificed for bonuses to the troops and the people at home pray for their safety.
