Grim_
The government asks for volunteers to act as a force to lead the Fishers away. They would receive training as scouts as well as training in hiding. Upon attack from the Fishers they would lead them away from the actual village before disappearing in prepared bolt holes. The construction of the bolt holes continue. On a note about my species they have 3" retractable claws on females shaped like blades and 7" retractable claws on males shaped like scythes so with their strength (equal to that of a gorilla) they are fairly proficent in combat even without weapons. All envoys to the Fishers are sent through the newly constructed village.
Retech
Around five hundred devout volunteers move to the second village to start their new life. Meanwhile, an envoy of the Fishers have come to your second village. Thankfully the people had settled down long enough that it seemed natural. "We have spoken with the grand council, and they have decided you must join the confederacy immediately. Failure will result in total destruction. You have had long enough to deliberate, it is time to act. What is your verdict?" Your advisers seem split, some of them asking you to join the confederacy while some of them advise you to prepare for combat. Master of your domain? Grim_
We respond "I am sorry but we cannot act as of now we must call a vote [a vote is called]) I am sorry but our people choose not to join your confederacy good day to you" The bolt holes have been constructed and as soon as the fishers leave all but 150 of the people leave and go back to the main village. The bolt holes are prepared and stocked with food and water.Spiked clubs and slings are constructed and the new village is riddled with traps. Retech
The armies of the Fisher Confederacy are called up and begin marching towards your two villages, half of their army to each of them. It seems that both of their armies contain about 1000 soldiers, physically weaker but more highly trained. They also seem to have better technology. Scouts report that they will arrive next year. Your advisors point out to you grimly that even if you defeat both of these armies, the confederacy still has thousands more in reserve, and that the most you could do after destroying their armies would be to gain a slightly more beneficial surrender than unconditional surrender. Your people, fanatic in loyalty, refuse to back down to the challenge and prepare for battle. Master of your domain? I am Lord of the manor, Queen of the castle, King of the county! The goa'uld thank the ancients for their interaction amongst us corporeal beings. A group of jaffa soldiers travells together with the scouts. The group barely enters further into the haze when they encounter a large hill, where they decide to rest, for a smokey (though see through) fog rests over the area further in. The armies now seem to number in the hundreds already, and they've been fighting for at least a year in this single battle. A mound of dead corpses lay in the middle of the field, impeding the charges of their calvery and chariots. Then a loud battle horn sounds, and the cry "For Archi!" is heard throughout the ranks of both armies. The leaders of both armies step forward for one brief instance for a quick exchange of words. "Mather, why don't you see the rightness of our cause? Archi is the god of LOGIC, he doesn't roll dice with the fate of the world.""Then Mage, why are we even in this pointless war? Because the great Archi, god of MODERATION allows it to be so. He views it as fair! There is no way we can comprehend the great mind of Archi, so we should roll a dice to figure out what he thinks!""Just because he's been away so long, does not mean we can replace him with chance! Better to try to emulate his actions.""Bah, we will not allow you to destroy our great civilization.""For Archi!""For Archi!" Then the leaders withdrew to their respective headquarters and the battle began again. You have a feeling you might be able to sneak out some advanced technology if you're lucky, but you're likely to have many men slaughtered. Master of your domain? A group of trained rogues are sent to implant goa'uld symbiotes in each of the two leaders. The goa'uld pray to the ancients for this to work, offering 300 points. The ancients begin their godly business, and the rogues sneak in successfully amid the conflict. However, when the symbiotes are almost implanted, the rogues are found by guards sent from the heavens and easily killed. A booming voice calls out over the battlefield. "I have returned." The armies cease fighting, and chant out in unison. "Our great god has returned. Long live Archi!" Your leader gets a feeling that if he was a bit less greedy and tried to loot technologies instead of trying to take control of the entire faction, the god might not have returned so soon. The leaders are given weak neuro toxins to weaken their brains. The ancients reluctantly agree and move to assasinate Archi in the land of the Gods. They are quickly dispatched by his awe inspiring powers. Your priests lose their connection with the divine (their gods being dead), and realise that Archi is several tiers higher than the ancients, and that it was not wise to try to kill him. (Just so you know, there's a whole hierachy of gods. Most of you start with tier 0 gods, and you will learn ways of improving that later. For the moment, Archi is very high up, and the King Fisher is a decent ways up from your regular gods.) okay, i settle in a temprate region, where there is no chance of an over eager child to set foire to everything <_< Your elementals quickly settle down, and begin feasting on various game. Retech
The Fisher force marched in full battle array, with large streaming banners and shiny bronze spears. Their feathers were padded with leather straps and they marched in neat ordered rows. The first army reached your second town at dawn, charging into the center with heavy casualties. The fires were lit and the army was almost incinerated, if not for the aid of the Fisher god, which put out the fire. Barely a hundred soldiers remained of that army. However, the second army reached your primary town near noon. They began to wait for a few hours, for psychological effect. Your general is reluctant to send your soldiers out into battle. Your population begins to grow apart, with five hundred wanting to run away for the hills, while the other thousand wanted to charge out with full battle array. Your advisors warn you that you must choose a side, or both may potentially desert you.
