Well, I'm sure there's some Nintendo fans on the board, and I'm sure they've all played Super Smash Bros. Melee.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

I just wanna know who your favourite characters are, why they are, your techniques in fighting and general stuff.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

My favourite character is Princess Zelda, but I spend most of my time as Sheik. People often say that Sheik is a bad character, but if you use the same Technique as me (Loads of Aerial Attacks and when you're on the ground, don't stop moving, and dodging) she's absolutely brilliant. Fast, Nimble, Accurate and has a mean Down+A Smash Attack, especially after a Super Mushroom.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Best level has to be either Final Destination, or Rainbow Ride. Probably Rainbow Ride.

Depending on who you're battling with. Faster people, Fox (match speed). Slower ones, Link (match power).

Great game, but I haven't played it in ages. I remember keeping my Gamecube on all night just to get Mewtwo, lol. Roy was my character of choice, he was ace.

I can't wait till the Revolution comes out and the next version of Super Smash Brothers...I'm hoping for online capabilities.

I LOVE Super Smash Bros Melee! My friends and I are very very very competitive at this game... I play as Falco. My favorite place to battle is Hyrule Castle.

No. Do not believe anything you hear about SSBR, they are all lies. The only thing that has come out of Nintendo is that Iwata is pushing for SSBR to be ready for launch.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

To the first poster, where on earth are you? Never has Shiek been considered a bad character, in fact, most regard her as the most potent..

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

My character is Marth, because he has a sword. I was Link in SSB, but they made him too heavy (and thus, slow) in Melee for my tastes. Roy and Marth may look similar, but they do not play the same. Marth's sweetspot on his sword (more damage+knockback) is at the tip, on Roy's, it is close to the hilt. Marth's down+a is a terrific [bleep]e, Roy's rarely works as one. Marth is floatier (falls slower) than Roy, which makes him better for making it back onto the stage, but also means he is easier to juggle. Those are only a few of the differences.

Ah SSBM... Used to play alot then for some reason stopped and now I barely ever play unless I'm at a friend's house and there's alot of us. I used Roy alot but having lacked practice I started to get KOed pretty easily, that's when I decided to try Jigglypuff :D .

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Now I use her almost all the time. Perfect character to annoy people and has decent attack speed. Plus rollout attack just plain owns in team matches, even in free-for-alls, you just need to find a safe spot within stricking range and KABAM! no more enemy. Of course too much of that can lead to excessive suicides... but I never die to my enemies so doesn't really matter :P . I remember once playing a whole match without the A button(friend's brother isn't nice to controllers, they go through a few each year :lol: ), just slapped people for the whole game and I think I even won it, maybe I was second but I remember doing good :) . So I'd have to say Jigglypuff is my favorite character, but I still sometimes use Roy.

One thing that would be nice is not so many clone characters like Mario/Dr. Mario/Luigi, Ganondorf/Capn Falcon, Fox/Falco

my fav was mario i p00ned every1 with him and being that sega has sonic games on the gamecube it would make sense for sonic 2 b in the next game in the series

Best Tactic with Kirby is to Swallow your Opponent and Jump off the Edge with them in your fat stomach. :D

 

 

 

My favourite level for 4-Player matches is Hyrule Castle by far. I do like using Samus and Peach. Samus, my main tactic is to Smash them off the Terrain, and when they are in the air, down+A them with an Aerial Attack. Sends them shooting downwards like a missle! :D

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Also, Imagine if Super Smash Bros. Revolution was MMO. Some people could be fighting on the moving F-Zero Racers (Big Blue), and when some other people are fighting on the track, the racers come past as normal, but you can see the match that's being played on top of them as they zoom past. Kind of like an ongoing world. Cool, huh? I've had that idea for a while now. :D
