Ok so im currently working on 90 attack and 85 + slayer but i need a new setup. Here is a picture of my current setup.

 

 

i have about 10-15m to change up whatever i need to. I know i need to get a fury but i was working if the +4 str bonus of the zerker ring is worth it or if i should just stick to my warrior ring(not pictured) I would perfer to stick to the torso because at 99 def i dont get hit hard by a lot of my tasks and i use prossy on some tasks.

Get a Black Mask then make it into a slayer helmet. Use Kuradal as much as possible, and you should use the Ferocious rings as much as possible in her cave. Use Verac's skirt and use prayer on task or try for Bandos Tassets once you get enough gp (Bandos isn't all that great for slayer btw). Or get Proselyte and use piety on your tasks.

 

Fury is worth the money, Beserker ring is much better then a warrior ring. Get them once you have a decent amount of gp left over.

OOPS xD forgot to mention i have the slayer helm(not full however because i dont ever range or mage my tasks). If i start to sell some of my loot i might be able to get tassets and still have some left over.

Before you get tassets though, Fury and Beserker ring would be much better to get.

You really should get a full slayer helmet.

 

That's because the Focus Sight boosts your range, and therefore you Cannon's efficiency. And if the Hexcrest boosts magic during a task, it would increase your magic defense, but not sure on that.

i dont really use the cannon tbh, i know you can still profit with it but i tend to forget about mind and lose it xD

dragon claws= not possible unless i get super rich in a extremely short amount of time.

I really think you should work on getting a fire cape, unless your internet connection happens to be consistently poor. If your internet is likely to kick you off the game within the 90 minutes it takes then don't attempt it- that's very frustrating.

 

Although the prayer switching is one of the only aspects of runescape that take true 'skill', it is really not that hard. The supplies should cost around 200k too, if you include a borrowed SGS.

i suppose im willing to give it another try although i keep failing on the 2nd to last wave or on jad himself(im horrible at pray switching and tend to get a bad lag spike on wave 63).

Fury and full slayer helm like other people have mentioned; your normal setup seems fine. Since you said you want to use torso, I won't recommend a barrows top. Instead of spending the money on equipment, buy potions and other supplies for slayer. Also, use initiate/proselyte if you have it for praying during tasks.

True, you don't need them. The way I see it for Bandos, is they're good items to get in the long run, but don't spend all your money and break your bank for it. I Personally had a 100m cash pile saved up before I actually bought Bandos.

Cpt is correct in the fact of using V skirt...... also if you sell your torags legs I think you'll only spend a max of a couple of hundred K extra on the skirt.

Fire cape is a good idea and so is a SW cape.

Zaaps is right with the focus sight. And though you say you don't cannon I would seriously suggest you do even if you forget it and have to get it back from that dwarf. It speeds up your slayer somewhat considerably and therefore is worth the cost. Some tasks are outright losses however others like aberrants can profit. Cannoning with your cp of 10m is perfect.

IMO I'd say don't waste the 5m on the zerker ring. However I must ask here - Is it really worth it? :-? to me it seems to be a waste of money where warrior increases the accuracy of your whip. But idk, I'm sure people will tell me i'm wrong and show me how which i'll be glad to see so i can understand why the zerker.

I'd say get D claws before the Bandos...... Bandos is overrated even more so than claws therefore it should come below them. Claws > Bandos IMO.

you made a lot of good points here and i appreciate that. however there is a few points i would like to make myself.

 

1. Cannon - yes i know their worth it but i dont like to use them, i tend to forget about it fairly often PLUS im more of a melee person so i want to get all the melee xp out of my slayer tasks as i can and the cannon just takes away from that.

 

2. Bandos - After looking over the prices and the def bonus' i decided to NOT get bandos until i have like 75m+ as even tho it has a nice str + pray bonus i dont see a point in it alone.

 

3. Zerker ring - Since i dont play MA and i dont plan to start playing it, The zerker ring will never be imbued and therefor isnt worth the +4 str bonus ( no matter how much anyone argues on this i've made my mind up xD)

 

4. Fury - simply put...im going to buy this :)

 

5. Dragon Claws - well even tho they cose like...35m? Im thinking about camping TD's until i either get them as a drop or i can afford to buy them without breaking my bank ( currently have 33m 2m short of claws but that would also break my bank )

 

6. Fire Cape - Im going to give this one another go or 2 but i highly doubt ill get it seeing as im horrible at pray switching AND i never seem to make it to Jad (when i do i end up dieing because of the pray switching problem)

Using a Cannon doesn't affect your melee xp by very much. Remember that you go through tasks faster, and even if you get less melee xp/task, you get roughly the same melee xp/hr since you are still spending about the same amount of time in combat.

Yea im thinking about doing cannoning now that i've looked a little more into it. I bought claws but at 87 attack i miss nearly every hit (on hellhounds) so im going to sell them and buy some other stuff for now, once i get more money and i have enough to buy claws + spec restores without breaking my bank i will. Any more suggestions?

1. May I then advise that you replace your Torso with a Prosy top and piety your tasks, or atlest 10% pray them. That combo gives only 1 prayer bonus lower than that of prosy top and legs, and once again, piety severely speeds up your kills. I even hit 44's whilst potted and pietying. So therefore it could be an ideal substitute for a cannon, however many people do use cannon and piety too to make sure they get the best speeds. Also although you're protesting cannon, you did make a thread the other day about ranging black dragons - Well there is your ranged exp in slayer, and you'll get extra slay exp to boot if you're going for any melee levels. For example I calced that I'd be 85 slayer by 85 att and 85 str..... I was 85 slayer at 85 att and 83 (almost 84) str because of cannoning :)

 

2. Good idea. Bandos is overpriced and tbf I don't see a use in it, even with the strength bonus. Buy a GS or something with the money bandos would cost or something.

5. Ah yea, that's fair enough tbf. Don't ever break your bank for anything (not even with me telling you to get 99 smithing over pm!). But a simple DDS will suffice...... I'm a bit naughty and never actually use a spec weapon..... I don't know what one to use or whatever so I just replace that slot with a lunar staff to get to kura.

 

6. 99 Defence and some ok gear should get you through the waves easily.... I only took about 40-60 damage total when I went through with 85 defence. And Just keep practising, may I suggest following EVERYTHING in Sir Hemens guide. It truly is a remarkable piece of work, and does work. And never give up ;) What would you do irl? Say if you set up a business, or you had a job and you go bankrupt/get fired, you don't go "ah well, never mind, cba again", you go back and find yourself another one. So don't give up with jad. The supplies used are worth it, and the time..... in the end.

No, I'm willing to pay 20m for the def, plus str bonus. Tassets have decent stats other then the +2 str. the Berzerker ring only gives +4 crush def and str. Look at stats other then str bonus please?

If you look at it THAT way then you're paying 25m for a negligible strength bonus and LOWER defence stats.

@SirIzenheim, Bladewing & Shawn, could you guys please not argue on my thread and please take it to pm or something, i've decided against getting bandos anyways.

And Barrows gear gives better defence than Bandos.

Warriors ring is more worth it than serker in my personal opinion.

im going to give the fire cape 1 more try, but if i fail to make it this time im just going to use my def cape(t)
