Archi, how long/costly would a research on large-scale artificial diamond growing take? Note large scale as fast and up to computer screen sized.

10 to 20 years for smaller ones with occasional large ones, 30-50 years for normally large ones, 50-90 years for diamonds the size of your fist.

Computer screen sized ones are probably 200 years off.

 

Currently it takes around 6 weeks, so shortening that makes no real difference.

Side note to everyone, new research rules come into effect next decade, under the friendly term 'Maintainence'. You will be charged, at the end of the decade, by the number of research years you have commited(at a cost of 5 billion per year). I will be keeping a record on the research levels page as to how many research years you have spent during that decade.

If you don't have enough money then some of the research years will be removed.

 

This starts NEXT decade, not this decade.
