Which one is the best against waterfiends? I got a 170 task and can't afford and founds none that wants to lend me one so which is the best "other choice" so to speak?

Well considering that the leaf bladed sword (if that's what you meant) has 0 crush bonus, you might as well punch them. Skip them (There are other alternatives but the task will take forever - V Flail, D Mace, T Hammers etc).

Sara sword or obby mace and zerker neck are also decent. Obby mace can train stuff besides controlled/strength.

You don't want to stab, you want to crush.

Saradomin sword is probably the best weapon in there (well, there's a good possibility that chaotic maul is better) by about 2k xp/h above the zamorakian spear. (remember that they are weak to crush)

If you can't afford one of these two, then perhaps torag's hammers, or a barrelchest anchor could be quite good.

The anchor is complete rubish. T hammers are a semi-decent alternative.

A Zamorakian spear / SS are the top items there. Just lend them. They aren't to expensive to lend and if you do the Familirazation D&d then it is 200% worth the cost! Charms are priceless in a way.

Zam spear is better than ss in my opinion. SS has a better spec though, and don't skip waterfiends. They are great cash and great crims.

Doesn't the anchor have both a better crush and str bonus, as well as attacking at the same speed as Hammers?

Hammers are like longsword, but anchor is like battleaxe, I believe it was. Both are too slow to be much good at waterfiends. Godsword is also battleaxe speed, but at least has an extremely high strength bonus.

Disclaimer: The above is probably inaccurate.

Obby Maul + Zerker Necklace is the best weapon outside of GS, ZS, and SS.

You can safespot range waterfiends, but I wouldn't recommend it unless you have a higher range level (85+ at least)

Zam spear is pretty easy to find to get someone to lend, maybe try world 2, or even just ask on tip.it. People here might lend you one for free.

Wow do I look stupid now. When I saw that someone metioned CRUSH I realised that metal dragons is the ones weak to stab. Makes alot more sense why it took forever to kill 5 with a LBS.

Hmm, i coulda sworn Anchor was supposed to be Longsword speed...
