demby123
Realm Vs Realm will see 27 battles, spanning three PVP worlds and three time zones, over the course of three days. The first battle will commence this Saturday 29th May at 00.01 (BST/forum time). Each of the three Triumvirate factions will have its own area to defend: Lords Dwarven Mines (north of Falador)Judges Lumbridge CatacombsReavers H.A.M. Hideout (west of Lumbridge) Success will be richly rewarded, with a total of 8,100 Triumvirate points up for grabs; these points will be awarded to factions according to who dominated each area during each battle. Be warned, though: this isnt an event for the faint of heart. Realm Vs Realm takes place on PVP Worlds, which means that, if you die, you risk losing your items, weapons and armour. You can find full sign-up details on the Realm vs Realm, on which youll also find more information on how to gain points for your faction, which worlds the event is taking place on and what times each battle is set to take place. If youre not yet a Reaver, Judge or Lord, you can decide which faction to join and get full details on all things Triumvirate by going to the main thread. See you there, Triumviratarians! Dexek
Hmm.. what's up with runescape becoming interesting this past week? I think I'll take part in this. Just go hybrid dominate some people and have a good time. I suppose I need to go onto the RSOF and join one of these clans first, though... What system does Jagex have implemented to allow to you tell apart your team from another? Unless this just takes part in a J-Mods clan chat and then the purple dots are obviously your team. atestarossa
Tip it in general seems to have a lot of judges. A lot of the more skilling kind of persons is attracted here, it seems. People more interested in pking have tended to join the reavers. And the jugdes. Well, there don't seem to be too many joining them, I'm afraid. Well, except for me, that is. But if you're just joining this fight for having a fair chance of winning, then the reavers would be a good shot. Seeing how they won everything in the last weekends clanwars tournament. It would be best if I joined a faction though, wouldn't it? How does the scoring work? The faction as a whole receives the points, and anyone who joins after the fact still gets those points, or the players who were within the faction at the time get the points, and anyone who joins later doesn't receive the previous points? anonymouse_
I also didn't like that the crashers did far more damage than any of the other factions did. A couple ROT members (I was told it was ROT, have no idea myself) crashed at one point and wiped our entire stronghold out, doing more damage in <5 minutes than the other two factions could do in 35.LOL

Jaded
So I read the thing and still have no idea what this thing is. Thought it was capture the flag but it doesn't say so (what exactly are you defending? How does the opposition take your area?). How are individual points awarded (kill counters? Or just a mod standing there?). How long will it take (its the weekend lol). Maybe I play Team Fortress 2 too much but this looks like a mess. I'd like to know before I risk my equipment...what exactly am I fighting for? This really gets down to the morals of cheating versus the morals of being forced to throw away your life [1000's of hours] to access content you enjoyIsn't life about throwing away your life (a job) to access content you enjoy? mario_sunny
I have a feeling this event will somehow go horribly wrong. Big wars like these which sound good on paper rarely work perfectly on the battlefield. I figure one or two of these things will happen:Everyone will go to one team, in fear of losing (I predict the Judges will hold the bulk of players). The "war" will consist of countless waves of judges overwhelming a few dozen lords and reavers, ultimately leading to a victory for the Judges, and a nice handful of angry Lords and Reavers. Some all-ancients clan will attend the event and ice barrage spam everyone, leading to hundreds of unexpected deaths. The attendees will proceed to unleash an unholy wave of rants on the RSOF. The war will be crashed somehow. Always with wars involving hundreds of people, there is always a crash clan. Like I said, it could be an ancients clan, or it could be a 138 clan, or just an overwhelmingly large clan. No matter what type of clan, there IS going to be a crash. Someone will start TKing members of their own faction, then those being attacked will fight back, and it will escalate into a massive team killing. The entire faction will slaughter eachother, with a few trying to escape the chaos. Think about the average age of the people attending this event; temember that most of these players come from the RSOF, and while there may be some highly intelligent people there, most of the forums are filled with crying, annoying, ranting 10 year olds. I can easily picture a 10 year old thinking its funny to attack a member of his own team. Everyone will cry about losing their precious whip. Rants forum will be even more clogged than usual. EDIT: Lol, what did I tell you. A crash. By popular demand, this signature is back- however I currently do not have a blog up at the moment and if I did I wouldn't update it. Sorry, the sig links to nowhere :( .
demby123
Should've modified the pvp worlds to restrict those kinds of activities. It wasn't very organized on many fronts.
