I just wanted to know what other games like Runescape that you play online. Runescape is boring me..i know.. but what other games are good out there that you guys like?

Runescape, it is addictive and fun to play, but could truthfully be called clickscape because a vast majority of it requires no skill.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Guild Wars is one I played for a few months, although it costs ÃÆââ¬Å¡Ãâã30 (something close to that), with no other subscriptions or anything. Its a fun game and requires a lot of skill. (http://www.guildwars.com)

World of Warcraft..You could try this but in my opinion its too overrated. It costs a lot of money for just 1 month.

I used to play ragnerok for a while, a really good addictive game if you find a good server to play on. I played on a server called Valhalla, had everything right, after they got closed down, couldn't find another good server to play on though..

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Usually have to pay for the game, but there is alot of free servers out there now, theres around two 700meg downloads.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

But I don't play any online games anymore, runescape is just organised boredom for me now.. Haven't played since 3D..

i guess what i should have said is its not any better than any other free mmorpg out there, and that is still my biased statemnet because i dont like them anymore.

If you can pay monthly-WoW

 

 

 

If you can pay a high price every 3-4 months-Guild Wars

 

 

 

If you want full free but crap customer support-Knight Online

Funny thing is, a lot lot lot of people I know quit RuneScape and played WoW or GW. More than half of them came back :? They said they got bored of WoW or GW :?

For me Democrazy the game is more fun than runescape.

GW WoW i have to say well i like puzzle pirates its kinda of good lol

I had quit runescape a year ago, got wow played it for 3 months and stopped.

 

 

 

After playing both, rsc > wow, rs2 < wow. :P

Conquer online is respectable

 

 

 

as is MU online

World of Warcraft if you like good long gameplay and good graphics.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Guild Wars is pretty much the same thing with a little less but no monthly fees :)

FlyFF it is really good its sort of like runescape but you get to fly at lvl 15...

I suggest heroquest,but its one player,and only one world so it kinda reeks.. :x .

wow is good, but way too easy, max out in a month, and hang around in if for your once a week raid, still has plenty to offer

ffxi is excellent in a party, crap if your not in onee, hard to matser, awesome party system, good graphics, i loved it, but when your waiting for a party, makes it crappy.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

city of heroes, not enough content for me, the fact ur armour never changes was like a huge downpoint for me, coz ill be honest i like the "omfg that swords l337" stuff lol

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

im currently getting another char on wow to 60 as leveling is fun tbh, id give wow a shot, see if any1 u know can let u play it, or even give u a trial.

Ive tried like WoW and heroes online but i always get bored and go back to RuneScape.

uhhhhhhhhhhh........ rs not much difference to wow? even excluding graphics theres lightyears between the games, comparing them is simply and injustice, same genre maybe, but thats it.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

wow does eveyrthing better, simple.

i much prefer wow's messaging system, the fact that you can send messages and items to people even if they are offline. and the partying aspect. one thing i do hate is that you can't really play it if you are pushed timewise. you need at least 2 hours just to do a basic instance, and more if it is a big one like scarlet monestary.plus finding decent party members can be a pain.(plus people seem to hate my class-i'm a dwarf female hunter :twisted: )

 

 

 

i left rs for wow, and basically have slowly come back to rs. i can see the good parts to both games, to compare them seems wrong. they are both aimed at different people, and the specs needed for pc are alot different.

Runescape is pretty good for a *browser* game. Since most MMORPGs are full-screen, I don't think you can really surf or IM when you're playing them.

yup thats why i love about rs i get to check my fantasy team and i get to im people and post on this forum and my clan's forum!

I left RS to play Priston Tale and I'll never come back :D PT is a level grind like RS but you don't have to no life to play it because you only work on one area. When you level you gain points which you can distribute to allow for slightly different builds between chars. It has an implemented clan system and a good party system. However it has few quests ( a bonus in my opinion) and does not get updated regularly. The customer support is interesting to say the least.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

However it is a good game if you don't want to get super addicted and appreciate real life > than all. It's free until level 40 so that's a plus.

that's what makes rs so special if you get tired of combat you can range and if you get tired of range you get to mage but it also creates independence and people are to independent and they dont have friends and all taht but i think this is good

Yeah the fact that runescape has so many areas to work on is an attraction to playing the game but it's also the reason why everyone ends up playing it all day. For most games, when you get bored you log off, but for runescape you just change to a different skill, or do a quest etc.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

On topic, a game I did enjoy is A3. They have recently brought out an english version based in India (lol). I never had much time to progress passed level 15 but it was quite promising once I got used to the different controls. I will definately be keeping an eye open in the hope a european version is developed.
