The 5000 blood knights are instructed to construct a makeshift camp to serve as a tiny base of attack. This is also where the army will meet. I will send out a messenger to speak with the rebellion, if he is not murdered then the message he sends is this "The king is deeply saddened by the turn of events. If we knew that Manius was being a tyrant we would have evicted him, but this is news to the capital. We wish for no blood to be shed, we are of the same heritage. Why should we pit friends and allies to turn against eachother? We hope you can reconsider your rebellion and we promise to treat this country better in the future."

 

They will wait for a reply and then we move with quick haste. The initial strike force will be the calvalry, yes it is entirely calvalry, don't call me crazy. They will be able to reach Brudges the quickest and thus they'll be less prepared anywho. The blood knights are told to charge in unless of course there is a large multitude of pikemen. If there is a large pikemen army or any similar unit, the calvalry are told to disperse around and begin picking them off while riding around to avoid any counter archer fire. When the pikemen have began to retreat and they send their next wave (if they do) The blood knights which should have dispersed into groups will now come at the attack force from many angles, while the archers will be picking off the enemy archers. By now the rest of my force should have caught up, they will take calvalry first line, infantry second line and missile at the back, unless the pikemen have regrouped, then it will be infantry first line, missile second line calvalry back line. The initial attack force will consist of 3000 Blood Knights, 1000 Calvalry archers, 1500 Swordsmen, 1000 Archers, 2000 Elite archers, 2000 Elite pikemen, 1000 Pikemen and 2000 Crossbowmen. The rest will wait in reserve. If the initial attack looks like it is failing the reserve will move in, they will also move in to cover any flanks incase we are flanked.

oi, ross.. would you like to be allies? i mean, i love to build stuff (one of the reasons i was usually the only attacking engi before the update came about) and i can always be a defse force if you need it on the field of combat..

Though Brudges shouldn't have a large military, when they left France they lost 100% of their military power due to all their power coming from France, they could raise a small makeshift army. I only fear England.

Better option:

Attack directly, they are stalling for time.

Offer them vassalage to you, but self rule, with the option to return to your rule after twenty years.

Earth, it would be helpful if you attacked England now, they're preoccupied with Brudges. It is a nice clean window and it is helpful for both of us.

Retech the offensive army is sent to France (I have a large defensive army as well [just in case you get any ideas]) Under crown prince Aleksandar Asen . 2,000 of the queens guardsmen are used to set up a patrol on the borders of France (on the atlantic border at least) while the rest try to engage the enemies (namely the english) once they are found. (Retech see PM for troop numbers). Half of the queen's guard will be using their long spears to guard the archers against cavalry attack whilst the knights of saint Demitrius and the bulgarian myrmidons flank (as well as the heavy horse archers and the other half of the queen's guard and the men at arms [half of which will be using spears to assist the queens guard against cavalry attacks [the other half will be using swords]] The short ranged myrmidons will charge with the knights of Saint Demitrius and the regular knights (using my updated tactics for charging) and once the melee starts the queen's guardsmen and the men at arms will enter the fray. The long ranged myrmidons and the heavy horse archers will rain merry hell upon the enemy (with the long ranged myrmidons acting as cavalry reinforcements]. Any siege weapons will be used to target enemy siege engines first and then enemy reinforcements/ un-embroiled formations.

hmm.. retech, are the troops trained? if so.. FULL STEAM TO ENGLAND!
