pulli23
Hi there, I'm a casual player, only playing weekends/holidays.. So now I would like to train dungeoneering: as I love team based activities (hence I hardly ever skill at all).. However something hit me: I can't get into any team. since I'm apparantly too "low" How pervert is that? - I've been playing since 2003 on and off already, and am probably more experienced then those pc products.. Yet no one allows me in their team because I'm lvl 123? Ow and please don't say "play with friend" or "join a clan".. Because quite frankly, since I only play occassionally these aren't options either! First they came to fishingand I didn't speak out because I wasn't fishing Then they came to the yewsand I didn't speak out because I didn't cut yews Then they came for the oresand I didn't speak out because I didn't collect ores Then they came for meand there was no one left to speak out for me. mememe513
For me, on F2P, I just go to a crowded world (1 or 3) and join a party. Most likely they're telling you that your dungeoneering level is too low for the floor you're going on. Also, for low level floors, you can easily solo them. Runecrafts
The reason people don't want you on your team is because your dung level is so low, and you can only do the lower leveled floors.. I'm training dung right now (currently 21), and I have alot of difficulties getting a team.. and like you, I am 123 cmbt.. Hi if you're reading this you are amazing and I love you.Maybe they'll release a bugless update for April Fools. lcchs
Maybe its because you have low skills that they dont take you. I dont know what your skill levels are but u did say you dont skill a lot. If your p2p w117 is the best place for dungeoneering. I have lower dun lv then you and still get accepted by most groups. I find it ridiculous that some people ask 90 dun and higher at some point it takes then forever to find someone that lv and looking to do their floor. pulli23
There's nothing you can do besides get a higher level.I DO have a high lvl.. I'm not sure when the inflation of lvls started.. But a year back 120 was considered high. (heck when I played a lot still, about 2-3 years ago lvl 100+ was high).. It ment you spent hundreds of hours in the game: does it now mean you can only play if you are totally wasting your time? - Where is the room for the causal gamer? ghjkl
If I could take a 138 or a 129 without knowing either of them previously, then it is only logical to take the 138, if his dungeoneering level is close to yours. There is nothing you can do about it.

TheKoolKandy
The funny thing is I dunge with 120s everyday and I'm not even one making the teams. I don't get how it's so hard for you because I even done with floors with lvl 138s and they are perfectly fine with them most of the time. But maybe I just happen to be on the only teams that take low(not really) levels. Yes, some Dungeoneering Clans do exist, but believe me, levels do matter.

DrPaulLeet
Like lcchs said above and you seemed to ignore, its probably because your skill levels are low. you say you dont skill at all so im assuming they cant be that great. or maybe you just come across as a bit of a noob to them
ghjkl
Skilling doesn't matter in dungeoneering, its all about the combat stats.
pulli23
Most of my skills are around 80, apart from the useless skills like herblore, fletching & cooking. getting them to 90 before continuing to train combat... When I got those (seriously around 3 years ago) that used to be "very high", but if I go to the forums, or w117 people don't even LOOK at you.. I just am ignored there! (I wrote large parts for the runescape wiki in the first few weeks when dung was released: back then I COULD get in teams easily, now I got to wait 15+ minutes, and even then only find "rushers" - who annoy me to no end) Also I notice a big change in attitude: back then there were also the so called "elitism", we had "pest control" who hopped worlds if too many low (normally considered 90-, sometimes 110-) lvls entered. However many, many people looked down upon that. Not only because pc was considered "cheating", but also because it wasn't good if you would leave others out. - This attitude change is quite shocking First they came to fishingand I didn't speak out because I wasn't fishing Then they came to the yewsand I didn't speak out because I didn't cut yews Then they came for the oresand I didn't speak out because I didn't collect ores Then they came for meand there was no one left to speak out for me. Pinkbullet3
For the sake of creating a new thread, I was wondering if anyone knew the maximum level for "skillers"? Last week I did F34 5-man large with two level 3 skillers, a 92, and a 108, and I ended up with 40,000 exp. As you might know, having skillers in your group doubles your exp., but no one seems to know why... So what's the maximum level for a skiller (i.e. if a level 20 skiller with 90+ dungeoneering joined my group, would I still get double exp. like the level 3s?) and why is it that having really low-leveled players in your group doubles your exp.? Thanks. ^ Blog.
mughinn
pink, im pretty sure that the average of the combat lvl must be lower than 90 to get the double xp. Its probably because of the update jagex made for ppl with 90+ combat to have half xp. what im saying its a guess, but its the only thing that makes sense to me. OhBeWise
It sounds to me like perhaps it has something to do with these various aspect-levels of Dung. What I mean by that is the aforementioned "Lvl 3 skillers". I have 71 Dungeoneering. But every single one of those levels were earned before the introduction of the aspect levels. For all I know, I am lvl 1 in all aspects, skilling, cbt, whatever else. So to most Dungeoneers, I probably look noob despite having 109 cbt and lvl 70 or higher in all skills but summ. Personally, I soloed almost 100% of my Dungeoneering xp because I didn't frequent the right worlds. So in my opinion, if groups won't accept you, then level up those aspect levels doing solo. Then maybe you'll be more "acceptable". I'll probably have to do the same when I return to Dugeoneering. At the moment, I am training cooking, firemaking, and thieving to 99. I'll probably be done in a few weeks tops. If you want, add me in game and I'll happily join up for casual games after I'm done training these skills. Just pm me for games in the future. pulli23
The problem is that I don't care about xp.. I just want to do team based stuff (hence it's an MMO, it's all about the advantages of online gameplay).. And dungeoneering was my favourite thing when I left (like 2 weeks after dung came out). First they came to fishingand I didn't speak out because I wasn't fishing Then they came to the yewsand I didn't speak out because I didn't cut yews Then they came for the oresand I didn't speak out because I didn't collect ores Then they came for meand there was no one left to speak out for me. People have a right to decide whatever reqs they want for their team.
