EDIT: As a note to arch; Orkz would not be opposed to large weapons. Orkz would in all likely hood be mad because their governing body was not using enough massive weapons (because there can never be enough DAKKA).

I am happy with Mather using a couple but its not that; he's trying to live as a stargater. His technologys are all stargate, his race is stargate, his plans are stargate: everything is stargate and it just doesn't appeal to everyone!

I don't plan like stargate, I plan to make whatever I can to proceed in the game, the replicators were litterally on hold doing nothing for 10,000 years I believe.

 

Okay, let's think of it in a slightly more abstract way.

 

Ten friends get together to play some football. One of the friends decides that he should slide tackle everyone he can and injure 2 or 3 people so they wont be a threat to him in the game.

 

Is it fair that the other friends should want him to stop playing? I'd say yes, but I'm also willing to bet that a lot of people think differently.

Actually think of it more like this:

He walks up to the face of an opponent who previously tackled him and threatens him, the opponent tells his teammates and they play agressively against him. Then he starts tackling everyone but eventually his coach enters to shake some sense into him, he later goes berserk and attacks his teammates. He then brings weapons to the game and the others take them from him. The others ask his closest friend on the team if he has something more and the friend replies that he's using spiked boots. The guy proceedes by walking over to his friend and kicking him in the nuts before attacking everyone else nearby, when he's finally getting tired and the referee suddenly reacts he's ignoring him untill half the other players kick him out of the field at which point he calls the police.

Yup, depends on how deeply you want to go into the details of your food groups. Default is no bonuses.

Basic ships will cost between 3,000 and 5,000 resources, and between 9,000 and 12,000 Cash units.(Narrowed it down to that)

Basic stations will cost between 10 and 18 thousand resources, and between 13,000 and 20,000 Cash units.

 

Survey probes cost between 2 and 3 thousand resources and between 5 and 7 thousand cash units.

 

 

 

More stuff you bolt onto a ship the more it costs.

 

You can build ships out of any material you have access to to give it bonuses.

So zero space is supposed to have 0S conductivity and alpha ban A-B?

I like most others here (as far as I understand) use Firefox, and to me mass is placed between mass and type while symbol is right before the ohm of resistivity.

It is in the Epsilon Cerberus system (if that's your planet I can move on obviously)

Okay can I get a list of planets taken please? I'll go pick my planet.

Fraid not. Part of the wonderment of space is that some of these planets will already be inhabited and so we can see some nice wars of survival in the opening minutes.

I meant taken by players, but the fact that I could be sharing a planet is interesting, I hope I get lucky and get a super stupid race which I'll just control.

Yup.

Ground wars are limited to 2,000 people per side, though, except in Orkz case, as explained.

well, I'd define destroy as actually get rid of the planet; you can still park your ship on a wasteland. I mean either vapourising it or smashing it into asteroids.
