Hell in V2 we could just ram ships into planets (I threatened to hit retech's homeworld at barely sub lightspeeds with a super freighter). I don't think you can do that with a hyperdrive though. Another option would probably be protracted orbital bombardment using asteroid fields.

What about using a gravity creator so that planet would have all moons and other planers smash into it, it's buildings crushed and people squashed!

I'm not sure exactly how you would create gravity aside from importing mass (again protracted orbital bombardment). Another option would be bombarding it with black hole bombs (something sere developed in V2)

Gravity generators, black hole bombs - ones just a little bigger.

But to be honest, black hole bombs would be impossible a gravity generator might work somehow by twisting faster than spped of somet.....

Find a way to negate the mass of Neutronium temproraly, before launching it and then un-negating the mass?

Would be fun to watch, to say the least, even if it does defy physics to the point of becoming soft sci-fi type technobabble.

If mounted onto the frame of the gyroscope it should last until the gravity was strong enough to rip steel apart, but then it would allready have imploded as it was bombarded with hydrogen and helium and turned into a star for a few seconds before the energy provided caused it to melt allowing it to compact itself thoroghly.

As the gravity increased, the electric motor would eventually be crushed, and the spinning would stop, correct?

The simple answer is just that I would use an extremly strong electric motor.

You mount the battery in the motor.

And the power wouldn't need to be that great in space, at least not if you have little friction on the axle. Mount two motors, one on each side, and feed them sufficient power at a frequency of giga or terrahertz.

It is reasonably safe to say that any device that would deform the universe would deform itself in the process.

And since a Gyroscope is a piece of precision engineering, even the smallest deformation would shut it down.

If you were gonna spin something at crazy fast speeds...and you have a hyperdrive...

Then you could bolt two hyperdrives together, facing opposite directions, and engage them at the same speed.

Of course sheering would still be a major concern (the force exerted on the bolt would be immense)

In game....Gravitons anyone?

Well I knew you wouldn't agree. I know how you hate facing facts.

Actually its anti-technobabble.

Gravitons generate gravity...Therefore a graviton bomb would be a gravity bomb.

Mather, the point of your machine is to go crazy fast...Hyperdrives go crazy fast, therefore two facing opposite directions creates rotational crazy fast speeds.

QED.

Well I knew you wouldn't agree. I know how you hate facing facts.

My planet.

My Race: The Illuminate (Supreme commander 2 if anyone heard of it before, though I just like the name)

Basic description: A race of hyper intelligent beings which lack in strength, they have a love for science and a love for mechanics, they worship space, and spaceships are their favourite things.

Biological desciption: Slim and rather tall, with the average being around 7ft, females and males are quite similar, generally compared to the human race in the respect.

Traits:

Advantages

Hyper intelligent: Research speed is increased?

Mechanical love: Any machinery is either more efficient, faster to build, cheaper (Pick one please)

Space Fanatics: Spaceships and Space technology is either more efficient, faster to build/discover, cheaper to do.

Disadvantages

Weak: Combat effectiveness is lowered

Space Fanatics: Destroying too many spaceships may cause civic revolt

Egotistical: Races that have a low intelligence I cannot ally

I really can't think of anymore.

It's a REALLY big shaft.

I didn't catch fire, I used the can of hairspray as a flamethrower and pointed it at my arm.

how are you going to ignore my posts when I'm offering to let you live as my vassal in two weeks time?

ICU, what about "massive robotic superweapons?"

Heh, Supreme Commander was an awesome game. Square Enix f'd up the sequel though.

10:53 PM - retech9691: I feel the need
10:53 PM - retech9691: To include many chasms in my story arc
10:53 PM - Resistance: You mean plotholes?

Remember, Remember, the 4th of November

RIP Dawngate ;-;
