Mio
To cut it short and simple, I have 75 range at the moment, and 10m to burn. I'm looking to get a high level in range (85+) I'm considering spending it all on Grey chins and camping out at ape atoll for a few hours a day without void armour. Spending 7.7m on 30k grey chins and the rest on ranging potions and prayer pots. But my question is, how far would 30k Grey chins get me? Is it even worth me doing it? Thanks. Quyneax
30k chins... If you use 2k/hr, and it's 2/3 the xp of using reds (which is 300k/hr, so 200k/hr), you'd get 3m xp. Up to you if that's worth it. MstrMonopoly
I'd say it's worth it. Chinning is really the only efficient way to train range, though I do enjoy me some range slayer once in a while. I piety the fool.
Mio
Hmm, 3m exp? Should get me roughly to level 88.. Which is pretty worth it. I can always range slay inbetween chinning for money chin money.. Thanks for the reponses. I'll chin :)
FIREWORKS
His calculations are wrong. At 75 ranged you're not going to get 300k xp/h with red chins, so you're not going to get 200k with gray one's.
Pwn_4_free
Get 85 ranged then use red chins. People do it this way for a reason :)
Knight_Zaros
I'm 89 range and have never chinned once. It is a bit slower than say melee training but keep in mind melee training has you training 3 stats typically depending on how you look at it. I say if you put some dedication to it 85+ range without chins is easy. Heck you can profit most places you camp and can still bring some decent exp in. I mean I dont always agree with everyone, but some people want the fastest, easiest exp over having fun in game. So thats up to you. aspeeder
Yeah, I wouldn't recommend chinning till at least 80-85, just range slay, cannon abby specs, kill aviansies ,or knife yaks. http://i700.photobucket.com/albums/ww6/aspeeder/Siggy_zpsewaiux2t.png 99 Strength since 6/02/10 99 Attack since 9/19/10 99 Constitution since 10/03/10 99 Defense since 3/14/11 99 Slayer since 8/30/11 99 Summoning since 9/10/11 99 Ranged since 09/18/11 99 Magic since 11/12/11 99 Prayer since 11/15/11 99 Herblore since 3/29/12 99 Firemaking since 5/15/12 99 Smithing since 10/04/12 99 Crafting since 9/16/13 99 Agility since 9/23/13 99 Dungeoneering since 1/1/14 99 Fishing since 2/4/14 99 Mining since 2/28/14 99 Farming since 6/04/14 99 Cooking since 6/11/14 99 Runecrafting since 10/10/14 9 Fletching since 11/11/14 99 Thieving since 11/14/14 99 Woodcutting since 11/20/14 99 Construction since 12/03/14 99 Divination since 2/22/15 99 Hunter since 2/23/15 99 Invention since 01/20/17 99 Archaeology since 5/14/22Quest Point Cape since 08/20/09 Maxed since 2/23/15 Fire Cape since 02/27/13 Slayer: 3 Leaf-Bladed Swords, 8 Black Masks, 2 Hexcrests, 26 Granite Mauls, 5 Focus Sights, 32 Abyssal Whips, 9 Dark Bows, 1 Whip Vine, 3 Staffs of Light, 15 Polypore Sticks Dragon: 9 Draconic Visages, 7 Shield Left Halves, 20 Dragon Boots, 40 Dragon Med Helms, 8 Dragon Platelegs, 6 Dragon Spears, 20 Dragon Daggers, 5 Dragon Plateskirts, 1 Dragon Chainbody, 63 Off-hand Dragon Throwing Axes, 19 Dragon Longswords, 27 Dragon Maces, 1 Dragon Ward Treasure Trails: Saradomin Full Helm, Ranger Boots, Rune Body (t), Saradomin Vambraces, Various God Pages Misc:1 Onyx,1 Ahrim's Hood, 1 Guthan's Chainskirt, 1 Demon Slayer Boots

I mean I dont always agree with everyone, but some people want the fastest, easiest exp over having fun in game. So thats up to you. I agree with you here. As a little mini-goal, I ranged 3k blue dragons at the enclaves for d bones and hides and got 75 prayer, 82 crafting, and 87 ranged out of it. I enjoyed the entire process. Sure it wasn't fast or the most efficient thing I could have done, but I actually quite liked the whole process. My next minigoal is 95 ranged at avies and using the bars on smithing  Also:Yeah, I wouldn't recommend chinning till at least 80-85, just range slay, cannon abby specs, kill aviansies ,or dart yaks. Fixed. Something to fill my sig with until I find a replacement. Also check out my blug
Mio
Hmm, I kind of like the idea of cannoning abby spec's.. But reading alot of guides and videos on Chinning, I will leave it until a later level.. For the time being I will range slay and cannon random things. :) Thanks again guys. Troacctid
Guide to cannoning Aberrant Spectres If you range them while you cannon you should get something like ~70k xp/hr or roundabouts, with a nice profit and some charms.
