my theory is people tire of hegemony game and with having a solid budget theres only like, 5 moves you can do every 5 (now 4 so its 4 moves) days, so there's no reason to post

nobody tries to do anything ridiculous like hex used to do, so we don't get worked up, major wars are now done in pm's and only a mod report gets posted followed by a page or two of "ooooh" and "aaaah" until someone offers a peace treaty after winning one round but by no means winning the war and it's accepted because people have no backbone (also why we always have at least one traitor in every game)

'Tis I, 'tis Vindice, 'tis I!

Well actually it is cause people think there is only a few things to spend their budgets on, when on actual facts there are so many things other.

It's a REALLY big shaft.

I didn't catch fire, I used the can of hairspray as a flamethrower and pointed it at my arm.

how are you going to ignore my posts when I'm offering to let you live as my vassal in two weeks time?

I think part of it is that research is now tightly controlled, so no real arguements start.

Wars don't go anywhere because people sent 1,000 people, then 60,000 then everyone in their country, plus their allied countries....So at the end no one has anything left, so the game collapses into people saying 'We will carry on if no one else does'

One of the things is that budgets are now on a 'pass go' system, meaning you can just sit around accumulating money...and since the profit you get from any expense takes 10 resets to pay of....

Say you are invading your neighbour, you are looking at an outlay of 5 million in the troops you buy and 500,000 in the troops you use....

Even if you take 5 provinces off them, the supposed max, it would take 10 resets, or 40 rl days to pay off the money spent...

Improving infrastructure and tech takes even longer...so the game is virtually static, and since it is set in the past you can't research your way out without people whining about how it is unfair.

tl;dr

The game gets boring because the game is going nowhere fast.

Well I knew you wouldn't agree. I know how you hate facing facts.

The face I made is in my avatar.

Also Dusty kinda beat that with your troops always recover unlesss they're entirely killed, and the province system.

I declare war on Archi with aims to get to the Prussian capital.

Deployment cost of all soldiers 6,320,000 Ducats.

Edit to prove time.

Has Dusty approved a landmine field?

Also, that's why no one posts on the thread. Apparantly you can react to something right away.

You still have to outlay 500,000 for the troops...so the profit you make from one reset is cancelled the next war.

You would have to be constantly engaged in war to make a profit much faster...and since small countries have armies of equivilant sizes to your country, and equivilant budgets....

Well I knew you wouldn't agree. I know how you hate facing facts.

infact, I needn't worry, they can't actually get any mines done in such a short time.

This is why no one posts in the thread...It incites stupid plans by others to counteract the stupid plans people post.

Perhaps you could hire a scribe that could dictate your words as you lounge comfortably in a recliner, drinking a cold beverage.

It would really speed up the pace of colonization and the pace of the game as well (which is either good or bad depending upon how you see it). Honestly I'm fine either way though.

Or get a laptop that can be used for something other than a door stopper.

Russia's actions are condemned by the King of England. This attack on England was unjustified, and a cease and desist order is given, or retaliation is neccessary. It would be unwise to start a war with a nation while you've only just recovered from a revolution.

Note that it states that it was Russian Nobility, and that I don't have any control over the nobles anymore.

As I recall, you were the one who invited them to England.
