The_Mather1
I am reasonably able...I just think that you will suffer from Moderator Fatigue and either give up or pull a Mather and force us to play a certain way...Happens to all of us.I only kept you from making the ones who revive you upon death from becoming your enemies... that and keeping Retech from getting a free rocket launcher/tank at the beginning of the game. Retech
I was a perfect candidate for a rocket launcher. Serves them right for allowing crazy people like me into the military. Master of your domain? Icuownage
I dunno what Mather and Archi are arguing about but I'll play. archimage_a
No when people died they were revived in the infirmary or had clones at the ready. Railroading kills the game. Like saying you can't open that door because it is there for flavour...or doors that resist explosives because if you opened it you would ruin a storyline the mod was running.Realism breaks down and godswords are created....as happened when Ross ran it. http://www.uzzisoft..../archimage.jpegWell I knew you wouldn't agree. Seraphi
I try not to railroad too much, but when people ignore perfectly good plots for no reason, it just kind of gets to me.

Retech
Sometimes when someone gets stuck in a situation, I like making it so that most of the choices lead to them being involved in a plotline. It just depends on how they're involved. Then I don't have to railroad too much, but it helps me stay lazy. Master of your domain? Icuownage
For the very brief time I did Pirates, I'd always try to make everyone have an action packed time. Thus why everyone suddenly found people all hiring for war, or killing pirates. Also if there is something I want them to do, such as, right at the start, everyone had a box of cargo near them and I wanted them to loot it, and like half the people ignored it, I probably wrote, you notice box, you walk past box, you leave box behind. So basically hinting, like hell... But otherwise they were on their own, and it was only something that probably made the game much more playable, as it had gold and items in, but as most people ignored it and then someone spent money, I just said, eff it, they get starting gold and the people who payed attention got extra. It's a REALLY big shaft.I didn't catch fire, I used the can of hairspray as a flamethrower and pointed it at my arm.how are you going to ignore my posts when I'm offering to let you live as my vassal in two weeks time? Remember that the only thing I had mapped out before posting it was the actual intro, the rest of the story was purely decided by the dice. Iconic
I've got my gummy worms, we can start. My stance; Railroading is bad, your not writing a novel your letting other people write half of your novel, give them some leash. Everyone -You all wake up, there is some tankards littered around the floor, you are about two metres away from the castle entrance. Icuownage
Uhhh realistically, you do not have any real access to an armoury, and even if you did, you sure as hell can't take anything from there. Anyway, I investigate said tankards. Retech
Realistically, I can shoot the commander in the back and kill him if it's a surprise attack. Since it's an assualt rifle, it should be able to kill everyone else too. Master of your domain? I am Lord of the manor, Queen of the castle, King of the county! Earth
of course its realistic to be able to kill everyone in a military base, a heavily guarded military base, with only an assault rifle.. Icuownage
@Retech Yes, cause no one in there is a military specialist who at the first sign of trouble would go to cover. Sure you could probably score a couple of kills, and mainly the commander, with the very innacurate assault rifle, which as it was probably near the start of the game, you have no real skills in. You will then sure as hell be gunned down by the hundreds of military trained soldiers which are only in the next building. So yeah, realistically you can do that, but there is a reason you don't.
