I killed him with worse stats than that, first day quest came out, no1 really had any strats, i just meleed him, brews/restores/super set, id wear a mix of karil/melee gear just to minimize as much as you can, used a loaded tort and a unicorn with scrolls afterwards, once i got him to the final bit where he starts swinging like mad he couldnt seem to land a hit on me (i was praying melee at that point, not sure if it was supposed to be or if it still works)

had like 5 brews left when I was done, didnt use any special kind of weapon just a whip and a shield, but if you can land a nice bgs spec it wouldnt hurt

Yes, Mandos is my screen name, this sig isnt stolen, i just use this nick for everything else.

Wouldnt be able to take a unicorn. but does anyone know if the Kyatt method still works or something like that? and how does it work?

Kyatt still works, once you have used up your tortoise, you summon your kyatt, take off the scrolls from your helmet (unless you had them already in your inventory) and spam the scroll attacks. (you should have the scroll attack selected as the left click ability so you can use the scrolls with one click.) If you have plenty of brews left and nomad has low hp, you might want to just tank his hits with protect melee while spamming kyatt scrolls and brews and not hide behind a pillar to heal. I'm sure there was a guide in aow but I can't find it.

For range, rubies, eagle eye, maximise your ranged attack bonus but make sure your helmet holds the scrolls.

For melee, dragon boots etc. are fine. Nomad is reported to be weak to stab, so zspear might be better than whip + shield. Plenty of people used godswords and whips though, pick what you like. Pray piety, of course, maybe bring a melee chest piece for the berserker mode. Your 99 defence +25% + brew etc. should be plenty to tank Nomad.

Ignore everything you heard and just do it this way.

For 1, you dont want to be switching beasts, changing prayers, etc, etc.

Not sure if you have lots of cash in bank or not but I'll just tell it to you how I did it with EASE.

Archer Helm

Skill Cape (T)

Fury

Rune Xbow (Ruby bolts (e) )

Black d-hide

Ranger boots

Archer ring

Barrows gloves

Zammy book

(all the items you can sell back to GE when done)

Inventory is:

7 super restores (4 dose)

20 sara brews (4 dose)

100 ambush scrolls

Prayers:

Your best offensive ranged prayer

Your best defensive prayer

Protect mage prayer

Dont focus on doing ranged damage, just let auto retaliate do its thing. AMBUSH will win this fight.

EAT ALL THIS DAMAGE, dont run from any of his special attacks - screw the pillars, etc, etc. use this time to top yourself off.

Stay in front of him.

Every three doses of brews, take a sip of super restore. (THIS IS THE MAIN THING - count your doses)

In between sips, spam the hell out of ambush.

Thats it.

Let me know when you KO'd Nomad.

Well that's a slightly simplistic approach, but it may work. I do suggest you bring some normal restores instead of supers as you can brew 4 times before restoring if you have to.

I just completed this quest two days ago, and i have no stats near any of yours. I ranged and as you have. but it didn't do much damage until I used the kyatt. With my stats i had to hug the pillar to heal and stuff but pretty much once you get to the bezerker stage it's all down hill from there. Just spam the ambush scrolls after you've used up the rest of your brews. You should be fine to own him in no time.

I had close stats to yours when i beat him.

I used whip, defender and full void melee

I also used dds instead of bgs for specing him

didn't use range and just kept wacking him with piety on and avoided all his specs.

I also had a full inven of rocktails and a war tort with rocktails and uni familiar and scrolls.

when tort was out i switched to uni and then used the scrolls to heal.

I potted at the bank then stored my super set to make room for more food and also had 3 p pots.

Other then that just keep trying.

Me behave? Seriously? As a child I saw Tarzan almost naked, Cinderella arrived home from a party after midnight, Pinocchio told lies, Aladin was a thief, Batman drove over 200 miles an hour, Snow White lived in a house with seven men, Popeye smoked a pipe and had tattoos, Pac man ran around to digital music while eating pills that enhanced his performance, and Shaggy and Scooby were mystery solving hippies who always had the munchies. The fault is not mine! if you had this childhood and loved it put this in your signature!

You bring 6 brews 2 sup restores then the rest 4:1 normal rest/brew, so you will have prayer for sure.
