Unicorn?

Hello! Im super excited i finally got all the charms i need for 88 summon and i was wondering where is the uni useful? I know it will help me a lot at TD's and GWD but i do a lot of slayer as well and i was wondering what tasks it will excel at?

I never use it in slayer l0l. Soul split covers EVERYTHING.

For you, you might want to use it whenever you are powerslaying

I use uni at waterfiends, on black dragon tasks at kbd, and other places where you can take high damage.

Iron Dragons

Skeletal Wyverns

KBD/Black dragons

 

This is assuming you aren't using protection prayers on Beasts and dragons

 

Everywhere else a bunyip is fine.

The only things i would still use an unicorn are wyverns with CM, dark beasts without protection prayers or Mithril dragons, but even then, 2/3 it's just for convenience.

I use a unicorn at black, iron and steel dragons. I use piety and unicorn keeps me healed just fine. If you have 96 summoning your prob better off using yak, but neither you or I do :P.

I still prefer bunyip over uni's at waterfiends though, the raw food drops are common enough and cover it all. Use unicorns if your defence is like 85 or lower perhaps.

Every time I take a unicorn to waterfiends, it practically rains fish.

Every time I take a bunyip to waterfiends, those fish drops dry up. :blink:

 

All kidding aside, I find I am able to stay longer at waterfiends with a unicorn.

I only ever use the unicorn on Waterfiend tasks. I've found that, for slayer, it's a lot more worthwhile to get 89 for the geyser titan, as you'll probably use it a lot more than you'll use the unicorn.

I agree, the geyser does help on tasks that are multi-combat. I use it on all of those. Uni is great, but the advent of better armors and new healing methods greatly reduced it's usefulness. It is still pretty good at TDs from what I understand.

it's the logical choice to bring whenever you're using a beast of burden for long trips, and it's just a staple ability for players who want to break into the 'elite' crowd

 

tds are incredibly easy with the unicorn if you're good at killing them, and the unicorn ability doesn't interrupt combat which is cool.

 

i wouldn't regret getting the unicorn.

Tbh if you're slaying unicorn can be great. I generally powerslay, so either I'll be cannoning or wearing prosy top + V skirt/Pros bottom and on some tasks unicorn really pays it's weight in gold.

Tbh I generally use the unicorn for most slayer things as I like to be able to heal quickly, instead of rely on 2 HP per X amount of time. Just keep slaying and use the pony where and when you wish.

 

However, don't stop using the charms. Iron titan + Yak aren't too far away if you think in slayer terms over a looooooong time.

Uni is the first step to be considered elite. I use my uni at waterfiends mainly. I used to use it at metal dragons until I got turmoil/soul split.

No, you were going to eventually get that level (and higher) anyways, so you would have spent money on the level eventually anyways.

Yes, and Uni is worth it IMO. I use the all the time. It is massive overkill on slayer tasks, but for bosses and stuff, when you don't have a yak, the Uni is amazing.
