Korasi's Sword vs. Dragon Scimitar

Korasi's sword is without a doubt better than the dragon scimitar; both its special attack and stats. They're equal in speed, by the way.

 

A chaotic weapon, preferably rapier for training, would be the most efficient choice. It would, however, cost a bit more.

A saradomin sword might be better because of the strength bonus, but it's out-cancelled if using Void knight armor, barrows gloves and a deflector.

 

Also, fortunately, excluding chaotic weapons, it has the most stab bonus for a 1-handed weapon. A cheap alternative to the zamorakian spear, and you even get defence from a shield, the deflector or a rune defender.

Erm, you are comparing the new sword to something almost completely useless, and it's BETTER? that's a bummer.

 

In any case, your reasoning for not using SS/CR are not reasons, rather justifications why you want to roll around in a wheelchair. Don't get me wrong, i'm fine with you using KS, but if other people look at you differently for it, it is for a good reason.

 

I think he already knew that. I don't think he doubted that the SS was better for training, he just stated he didn't like 2h weapons. No need to basically call him stupid (trust me, that's what you basically said)

The scimmy isn't useless either, think back before you had 70+ attack. How useless was it then?

It's not good for high levels, but for the lower combat leveled players, it's the best they can get, so how exactly is it useless?

I think i was already or almost 99 attack when the dragon scimitar was released so... I also got 99 strength using dragon scimitar(as it was the best weapon back then). As he didn't give any logical reasons for not using a SS, he practically is stupid, as realistically, there is no reason he should not use SS. I understand that the scimitar can be useful from 60 to 70 attack, but that is not the case with OP or significant.

 

How is he "practically stupid" for not wanting to use a 2handed weapon...?

 

Let him play how he wants, this is a perfect example of an pro efficiency player like you putting down others just because they don't play the same way as you.

I agree with the above poster! Play however you want, man. :D If I wasn't using whip to train everything via controlled, I'd be using Korasi's sword now. :) CR or CLS would take AGES for the average player to get, and I think SS is totally overpriced. :o Also it looks like KS and rune defender are almost equal to SS anyways..

 

EDIT: Also, this is now the best one-handed stab weapon besides Chaotic weapons. :D

Please note that i dont own SS, so as it has same str bonus as whip, i wield whip instead. But rest of equip would be same with SS. As u can see Korasi sword is better choice even than SS :shades: (forgot... with SS there will be higher pray bonus, but Korasi sword has better spec)

Guys i reallize that SS is better and at 99 defence i shouldn't need a shield...I DONT USE A FREAKING SHIELD!!! im using the defender with both weapons. I dont care if ss is better its slight xp/hr increase over ks/d scim isnt justified by its 8m price tag...i dont have 8m to spend on a weapon thats only going to give me a few k more xp/hr than something thats free so stop suggesting it.

 

 

Now, to those of you who actually helped me, thank you i appreciate the advice, and the ones who flamed me for not using ss personally i dont care what u think about me not using an ss, ill use what i wanna use for str training and u use what u wanna use and mind ur own business if u dont llike it keep it to yourself because personally i couldnt give a damn.

Not having the money to use a better weapon is a legitimate reason for not wanting(or rather, why you can't) train with a better weapon, but if you hide behind a ''not wanting 2h weapon BS'', you'd obviously be rendered stupid. I believe in reason, defense plays no role in training in general, so having to use a 2h weapon plays no role in training, being poor, however, means that you just couldn't use the better weapon.

 

As for the above post, prayer bonus plays a more significant role in training than defense does so...In any case, most of the people train with slayer anyway, so i think that's more significant role in determining which weapon is better. Also, being the best ONE HANDED stab weapon is another way of saying you are a newb and don't have super antifires, meaning that you shouldn't kill metals with melee anyway.

He was simulating a AZ's setup with void. Comparing Sara Sword to Korasi's Sword. The whip and Sara Sword both have the same strength and slash attacks, so he used the whip instead of Spending 8m on a sword just for a picture.

 

It shows that if you are using void, the KS is better then the Sara Sword, because the KS allows you to use barrows gloves and a Deflector.

because you don't need defence, and sara sword has 2 prayer which is actually useful
