I think the recruitment issues for the Pirahna fleet may have been annulled at this point. Though I would recommend we do a slight revamp of the control systems, being naked is not an asset when a ship is being boarded. Nor do the erratic flight paths count as 'evasive maneuvres.'

Faust, I would like to, but the biocontrol bay is about 200kT cheaper in total than a life support/bridge/crew quarters combo. That's an extra ship for every 2.5 or so we create, which is a fairly large amount. If you can find a solution which allows us to conserve efficiency, I would be very glad, but this is the solution I came up with.

 

Of course, in bigger ships, we'll probably just use regular control anyway.

 

In fact, if we made the Piranhas a single man escort class ship and then worked on larger designs with regular bridges seperately, it'd probably be a lot more cost efficient.

Next, I guess that would be a good use for the suit I designed to go along with the hoverboards, they protect the head as well as suplying oxygen. Also that would mean a modified (extra stealthy) hoverboard could be used as an escape pod.

It was cheaper and our resources were very much tied up at that point. It is actually very cost effective, so I would rather you did your research before insulting my designs.

 

And I never said I didn't consider it useful, I only said that the initial resource input is too large to be viable at this time. Plus, it makes such an easy target that it'd be stupid for the enemy NOT to hit it first.

 

PS. Wrong day. Dungeoneering is on Fridays. Although I think there is a Space session on sunday instead of saturday this week.

Helmet/Mask wouldn't cover living space, unlike the biopods. Pretty much anything larger than a shuttle, that flies more than a minute to reach its target, needs living space.

Psionics uplink is a possibility, though requires a life support system and living space...So you only really save on a bridge, at the expense of non-psions not being able to use it.

 

KT level is 2,700

EC level is 303,000

Mining Fleet is 15 ships strong

Pirana fleet is 7 ships strong

There are 255 unread applications, of which 5 are Captain Material, of which, 1 is Wyvern's character

Ingame you are older, simply because I don't live in Japan, or subscribe to the idea that anyone less than 20 would be capable of serving onboard a space ship, let alone functioning as an officer.
