Sir_Sonic
Hi!I've posted this on the official runescape forums, but I decided I'd see what you all thought too! My idea has been inspired by the latest update which allows you to compare single items. I thought, wouldn't it be better if you could compare whole gear setups? I decided to mock up a picture of it, and I think it turned out quite well. The idea is that when opening the Equipment Screen, there will be two setups shown. Firstly, the one you are currently wearing, then a second one which will start off with nothing on it. You will be able to click a tick box along the top of each setup to decide which is is the active one, and then when you equip an item it will appear on the active setup. Much like the single item comparison, the higher setup bonuses will be shown in white, whilst the lower (or same) remains orange. Also, if you want to quickly just equip a single item to the inactive setup, there will be a new right click option to the items "Set 1 *Item*" and "Set 2 *Item*" to allow you to quickly equip it without having to tick the inactive setup. I'd like to hear what you think, thanks! Edit: Maybe this could be an expandable option too, for those who already know exactly what theyre going to wear! xpx
Errm...how is that very helpful? I mean, firstly, your picture of comparing two very different setups is useless enough, but it's actually very easy to just change one or two items and see what significant stats are better for which setup(it's not like you'll need to know the full array of stats, is it?). Knowing jagex, implementing this would cause alot of unnecessary bug or item duplication/disappearance so it's not really needed. Oh, and this belongs to suggestions. First to 99 Farming on 27. Sir_Sonic
For one, the picture is just to show what its like, im not trying to show people what would be a better setup for anything inparticular. And I think its useful for comparing all the different stats between a few items, not just one stat at a time as you keep switching between them. So like you can have a look and notice that although one stat is better, another one is worse and you can decided whether its worth changing or whatever. Just on a whole setup scale. Golvellius
Looks nice, post it on RSOF of course.Thats where they take all their suggestions from.I doubt Jagex would take a serious look here.Too many knuckleheads and know-it-alls ranting about whats stupid and how the devs know nothing because they don't play their game. Exclusive Legacy Mode Player He just successfully trolled you with "courtesy" and managed to get a reaction out of you. Lol
PereGrin
^ Ranting about ranting again I see. It could be useful, but for most gear setups, you only want to compare maybe 1 or 2 items, and the rest remain the same. I don't think it happens very often that someone has 2 totally different outfits and they want to figure out which one is better for whatever they are doing. Maybe void vs karils for TDs but that's about it.

The picture is purely for example, he isn't really trying to show Pros vs elite. The point would be to compare full sets...like bandos vs dragon. Den
I think its a nice idea, but might be fairly hard to implement without a possible glitch of say item duping or some other bug.I wouldn't mind though, if its possible for jagex to do, I think they should look into it. This should also be in the suggestions forum by the way. :P http://forum.tip.it/forum/23-runescape-suggestions/ ........::::: Rainy's YouTube Channel - Rainy's Twitter - Rainy's Facebook - Rainy's DeviantArt - Rainy's Tumblr - Rainy's Tip.It Profile :::::......... And well, we already have ALOT of stat comparison 'thingys' on many fansites, i don't see the reason to waste jagex'es time and nerves on creating one because this guy is lazy. Haha, its not laziness that made me think of this, just efficiency. I'd rather spend a much smaller amount of time comparing various setups then checking each individual item at a time. And even as an example its not awful. As SirIzenhime said, I'm not actually trying to compare those two armours, I'm just showing what itd look like. Plus, since this idea would work better than other stat comparions at certain times, there obviously isnt enough stat comparison 'thingys' ;)

I4prez
I think this might (possibly) be useful. You could use this, say, if you wanted to know if you get a higher magic bonus or ranged bonus to go... fight Jad... or something... Also, say you're waiting for Castlewars to start and you want to know if this reward set is better than this set of items with a dragon platebody, etc., it would speed things up quite a bit.
