DarkerFalz
I've decided to go to TDS to try to make some cash. My stats are in the sig below, and I'll be getting 79 summoning before trying them. For my TDS trip, I was thinking of taking this:Head: Void range/melee helmsBody: Elite VoidLegs: Elite VoidBoots: Dragon (Snakeskin?)Gloves: BarrowsShield: DeflectorRing: Life (Just in case, you know tongue.gif)Cape Slot: Ava's accumulator (soulwars cape?)Ammo: 1k broadsAmmy: GloryWeapon: Rune c'bow/korasi's Inv:4 + tort of sharks (rocktails?)House tabDarklightOther helmOther weaponSuper attack/strength/reg range potionsLanternEE (for healing spec, yes or no?)Titan PouchTitan scrollsRest prayer pots Sound good? Quyneax
Sound good, use snakeskin boots, maybe a little more food in your inventory and scratch the tort. Really banking time is so short, it's better to do faster kills (eating interrupts, of course). Void is very risky on your first trip. Try black hide + neit and defender. gremmy
You should really use d'hide on your first trip as Quyneax said - you already have to keep up with item switches, prayer switches and potting/eating/using familiar ability - a death with a grave with 8-10 hours of void in it would tip you off the edge. I've decided to go to TDS to try to make some cash. My stats are in the sig below, and I'll be getting 79 summoning before trying them. For my TDS trip, I was thinking of taking this:Head: Void range/melee helms - neitz - cheap and effectiveBody: Elite Void - d'hide body - cheap, effective, gives ranged bonus and both melee and magic defenceLegs: Elite Void - see aboveBoots: Dragon (Snakeskin?) - if you choose d'hides, wear dragon bootsGloves: Barrows - best item possibleShield: Deflector - rune/dragon defender, don't bother with a shield unless you've got divine or elysianRing: Life (Just in case, you know tongue.gif) - don't bother, it's a 2-3 minute trip if you die - bring berserker/warrior/archers or any imbued ringsCape Slot: Ava's accumulator (soulwars cape?) - soul wars or fire capeAmmo: 1k broads - good. Don't bother picking up, they're dirt cheapAmmy: Glory - good, borrow a fury if you canWeapon: Rune c'bow/korasi's - will work, but get a whip if you can Inv:4 + tort of sharks (rocktails?) don't need the tort if you bring titan as Quyneax said too, but it might be nice since you're new to tding. They can really surprise you. House tabDarklightOther helm keep void in bank till you've got more experienceOther weapon do you mean spec weapon?Super attack/strength/reg range potionsLanternEE (for healing spec, yes or no?) a very good spec weapon - alternatives are: claws, ags, sgs, d hallyTitan Pouch if you ditch tort, summon one in a bank, and bring an extra pouchTitan scrollsRest prayer pots Also, be sure to have an extra sapphire lantern in your bank for deaths, and have the best gravestone you can (4-5 minutes at least) Dragon drops: 82 (2 claws)Dagannoth kings drops: 73Barrows item count: 51GWD drops: 54 (5 hilts: 1x bandos, 3x saradomin, 1x zamorak)Whips: 4Sigils: 1x spectral (FFA), 1x arcane (FFA)

Onto equipment and items; your suggested equipment is fine, other than Ava's. I'd personally use either a fire or Soul Wars cape as most of the time, Ava's device doesn't even work, anyway. You could also use dragonhide and a dragon defender, alternatively. For bolts, you might want to upgrade to either runite bolts, diamond bolts (e) or ruby bolts (e) (if using these, be sure to bring two types of bolts for max efficiency). Don't use Korasi's as its special attack's damage dealt will be increased if located in a multi-combat zone, which it is. Instead, you could use an abyssal whip and a dragon halberd for special attacks. If you're bad at prayer switching or suffer from a lot of hits, you could bring an excalibur instead. Check my adventurer's log (27th December). Claws. lol
DarkerFalz
Hmm, thanks guys. I've actually been there ~5 times before, but only averaging 2-3 kills per trip (once I got 4!). So, I'll try using d'hide, and then maybe trying void later. Someone told me that ks was better than a whip at tds, so that's why I put that. I'll try both ways though. I'm hoping that tds will get me cash for 96 magic, and I only have charms for 79 summ, so thats why I'll take a Titan. Also, which Titan would be better? I heard that the ice one lasts the longest, is that true?
Aiel
they're all the same, except for the combat style the use (fire=mage, ice=melee, moss=melee) DK drops (solo/LS): 66 hatchets, 14 archer rings, 13 berserker rings, 17 warrior rings, 12 seerculls, 13 mud staves, 7 seers ringsQBD drops: 1 kite, 2 visages, 4 dragonbone kits, 3 effigies, lots of crossbow partsCR vs. CLS threads always turn into discussions about penis size....It's not called a Compensation Longsword for nothing.I've sent a 12k combat mission to have Aiel assassinated (poor bastard isn't even Pincers-tier difficulty). After I get 79 summ, should I blow all my blue charms on fire titans, or save for geysers?
Quyneax
Geysers are more expensive xp, and I'd say you want that higher summoning level sooner so you can use your crims on swamp titans. DarkerFalz
I have a problem. I only got 1 kill my last trip, and I don't know what I did wrong. I took the d'hide setup, and a tort full of sharks, and I still died really fast. 14 p pots, super pots, everything. I summoned my Titan, and it didn't help at all. Sure I got healed a total of 320, but I got hit for about 10 times that. What's my problem?

Proper prayer switching is crucial and takes priority over all other things (Protect Prayer switch > Eating > Weapon switch > Pots > Dmg boost prayer). My bet is that you haven't mastered it yet. DarkerFalz
Well, I was prayer switching then changing weapons. They seem to consistently either gang up on me when I'm luring them, or hit over 200 when they change attacks.

DarkerFalz
That's the problem. I try to lure them, but they decide to be stubborn and get stuck, while I'm getting pounded by both range and mage attacks from both/all 3.
manitstinks
You should just go down there with nothing in invy or equiped. Learn to prayer switch. As soon as the aforementioned "stubborn and get stuck" occurs, take a screeny and post so we can help.
Smapla
which side of that rock, in that picture, are you killing them on?
DarkerFalz
Right where the green is, on the east side. I lure the one that I think spawns there, near the pillar, but it's another one, so I get hit a ton. That's when the one doesn't follow me and gets stuck. Next time I go and try them again, I'll post a pic of them getting stuck. Also, I know how to prayer switch, it's just that they hit 200+ each time they switch attacks, even when I switch to the correct prayer.
