AresArtemis Posted February 8, 2011 Share Posted February 8, 2011 What I normally use on a slayer task: Full slayer helmetFuryLegends capeProssy plateVerac skirtWhipDragon DefenderDragon bootsBarrow glovesKuradel Ring I use piety all the time, use super att + str + def potions and a Bunyip. This methode with this setup works fine for almost all task except for hellhounds. Even with my inventory filled up with monkfish I have to bank every 80 hellhounds or so. I'm now thinking about using my old guthan's set, but arent there any faster / more effective ways / gear to kill them? I dont have a EE to heal since I do not have the stats to get one. As for gear, a chaotic rapier would be better if you can be bothered to get it. Obsidian cape has slightly better def than legends (+9 vs +7 I think). If you want you could use verac's brassard (decent defence and +4 prayer, prossy is +7) or just use a barrows platebody but you're probably better off just taking the damage and saving ppots with prossy.Good on you for using piety. quit Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

You could try for a little more prayer with ardy cape 3, prossy legs, and just pray melee. Or if you're willing to do it, focus a little more and pray flash. You really should try to get the stats for the EE though. It's probably one of the more useful diary rewards. You'll kill at least 150 faster if you use zspear over whiop.. THAT is your problem. Get a prayer boosting cape (god cloak works), proselyte legs and pray protect from melee. It's not that much more costly and saves you a bunch of trouble. Alternatively borrow bcp, but that probably won't do. Tabs aren't too expensive either, but I think you should grab the spell itself if possible.
