potatohead
What I'm looking for is advice or recommended changes, etc on my farming setup. Any advice or changes would be welcome, just looking for different opinions. (Please don't recommend getting ardy cape, I'm way too lazy) Growing watermelons and cadantine (farming level 70 as of this post), and I do supercompost with watermelons, and note the rest (which is why there are 15 slots open... laziness again.)Side question - how do I add the Troll Stronghold herb patch to my runs without messing up my setup too much? Please and thank you.
Quyneax
Replace tabs with skills necklace and combat bracelet + camelot runes (cheaper & magic xp). Quit farming watermelon and do snapdragon herbs. This will remove the need for the watering can also. You don't need plant cure or cash either. To do a normal farm run: teleport to trollheim, walk to the patch, drink one dose of juju, pick, compost, plant, use your ectophial, run west cleaning your herbs (if you care to), note at the leprechaun, pick patch, compost, plant, use cabbageport, run north cleaning herbs again, work the patch, use your skills necklace or combat bracelet (fishing and ranging guild teleports respectively), run east or south depending on tele, work patch, teleport to camelot, run east, work patch. (and I worked so damn hard for that watering can!) <_< I also like supercomposting... so that's staying too. ALSO, wtf is juju? atestarossa
Also, adding your falador shield would give you a few extra experience points at a the falador patch, it's a 10% (or was it 15%?) increase there.
Serpent Eye
I support your choice to continue farming watermelon! :P It's upwards of an extra 8,000 experience added on to each herb run you do. Also, if you're carrying cash around with you, you don't really need to carry a Plant cure potion as well. If you need one, you can just use your cash to buy them accordingly. May not seem like much, but that's one extra inventory space. Juju Farming potions are something you get/make from the Herblore Habitat activity. The effect of the potion is, you have a one-in-three chance of obtaining 2 herbs from one "pick" you do. (In other words, if you would normally "pick" 5 herbs from a single patch, you technically could get 10 herbs instead; if your character "picks" 9 herbs, you have a chance to get up to 18, etc. etc.) The potion effect lasts for 5 minutes, which is just enough time if you follow the steps listed by Quyneax in his post above. The ONLY thing I would say is: if you DO start using Juju potions, I would STOP farming watermelon. Like I said, the potion effect lasts for just 5 minutes, which doesn't give you enough time to harvest allotments and herbs. (In my own experience, I JUST got my first batch of Juju potions, and I've stopped farming allotments for the time being. They're amazing!!!) Th e Doctor
Not doing herblore habitat is silly. When farming snaps it brings your average profit per run to 250 k. That's two mil a day for basically no work. Only other thing I can think of is only bringing one of each tele so as you go you free up inv space. transcript80
I always wear my Ardougne cape3 for a free Ardougne farming patch teleport, and direct acess to the monastery bush patch. Poison Ivy is very good for a bush patch; it cannot die, the berries sell nicely and the seed cost vs. xp is good. Since you do most of the travelling by teleport, you don't spend much time running. I only wear boots of lightnes, and I never have to rest. If you are not on the Juju time schedule, you might as well do the flower patch, with either marigolds or limpwurt roots. Adds up nicely on the cash pile. Other data was removed when acoount got hacked...
