Snipers_end
Sniper, all the videos you've shown have demonstrated prayer flashing to always work the same way. That guy is flashing the same way I said you have to.Well my video and the other video that I showed just to cite the description box were made AFTER the update. The one video I found pre-runetek 5 was of a guy who wasn't good enough at prayerflashing to illustrate my point. If I had known that they were going to **** up prayer flashing and I was going to argue with some guy about it on tip it I would've downloaded fraps and made a video back then but obviously I can't see into the future. Quyneax
@ OP: You will not take (much) damage if you do a few simple things, such as safespotting/luring/kiting/praying/piling/ignoring. You will get enough food drops to do the boss. That simple. Grimy_Bunyip
I was under the impression protect prayers activate with a delay now.they always activated with a delay.Just a long time ago, the prayer icon would appear above your head BEFORE your protection actually activated. The prayer icons now lag, to reflect the fact that the protection you receive from the prayer, also lags. dragon246665
I've been flashing for years and I can tell you for a fact the mechanics have never changed. Made me lol sorry, I have nothing of actual value to add to this discussion.

Their scroll effect lowers the target's defense significantly, which makes most bosses much, much easier. SirIzenhime
On the note of flashing prayers Protection prayers (ie, protect from melee) flashing WAS altered some time ago. It used to be where you needed to have protect from melee up right when the animation started to be protected, but some update changed this mechanic to where you had to have it on BEFORE the animation. This update made it so flashing protect prayers had do be done a tick earlier then before. However, for prayers such as Piety, turmoil, soul splitThe activation times have NOT changed. In order to successfully flash those prayers you now need to (and ALWAYS HAVE) have the prayer turn on RIGHT when your attack animation starts. Once you launch your attack, and you receive xp for the hit, your prayer no longer needs to be on. An easy weapon to use as an example is the Chaotic Maul. When you turn on the prayer, it much be on at the start of the animation, where the maul is behind and above your characters head. It DOES NOT need to be on when the maul finally swings over and hits, as the hit has been calculated already before that moment.
