Avatar200
Well, simple question. Should I continue on my 85 slayer goal, or stop and give priority in raising other skills first, like DG, etc? Just completed DG tutorial 2 days ago..haha.. My stats for reference: My goals were 85 slayer (whips were 2-3m then I think), 90 crafting (still have it banked) and 99 magic (alching the things i craft). Tho now, it seems like slayer is nowhere near a good moneymaker it once was (even D boot prices dropped a lot). On the side, I'm also trying to do all hard tasks (still left seers and fremmy) and quests (I miss wearing my quest cape)..
purekilljoy
That's just me, but - definately train slayer as long as you get maxxed comb stats. You need cmb anyway. I would probably get a chaotic rapier before 85 slayer thou. Slayer isn't a great moneymaker, but definately better than camping sth for comb stats. Be careful with DNG tho, since I got high enough DNG lvl to do floors with DG Sweepers I have rarely seen the overworld again, my 99 slay goal has been since long forgotten and so have my other overworldy chores... After 1st chaotic, got other rewards, now need another 100k tokens for chaotic no 2. So you have been warned! )
transcript80
Get 85 first. From 38or so DG to 85 is a long was. Or better: mix them up! Do some tasks, then a string of dungeons, and so on. Make sure you maximise on fun xp! Other data was removed when acoount got hacked...
The Observer
I would personally get 85 Slayer first since it's closer and then work on Dungeoneering. But it's entirely your choice.
Quyneax
Work on dungeoneering if you want to increase your combat power in the long term (e.g. if you intend to max combat sometime). If you only really want 90s melees or something to finish your game, don't bother. Estoc
If you like slaying, get 85. If you want to get 85 for abyssals/money and see slay as a chore, don't. Bladewing
abyssal demons suck so much now that they're on the verge of being on my perm block list (no joke) i would dungeoneer first How to Chin Nechyraels for fast XP and profit

3rkid
The Abyss is always empty. Two spawns to yourself... And easy banking in Zanaris. I think 85 Slayer is worth it.
Avatar200
Bladewing and Quyneax gave me some good advice couple months back, so I'd go with DG then and get myself a snazzy rapier to help max melee and maybe get 85 slayer later! So that's 81 DG for a rapier, right? I think I it took me like an hour to get 3k xp last nite. lvl 81 is 2m+ xp?!...huhuhu.. :wall: Guess I'll go read up all those DG guides first. Thanks tipiters! Supposedly it gets a lot faster once you hit 70. Even 50 is better since you can have 2 binds
Aiel
I would slay while doing tears/penguins/lamps to 59 DG then use DGS, DG is crazy slow before f30. DK drops (solo/LS): 66 hatchets, 14 archer rings, 13 berserker rings, 17 warrior rings, 12 seerculls, 13 mud staves, 7 seers ringsQBD drops: 1 kite, 2 visages, 4 dragonbone kits, 3 effigies, lots of crossbow partsCR vs. CLS threads always turn into discussions about penis size....It's not called a Compensation Longsword for nothing.I've sent a 12k combat mission to have Aiel assassinated (poor bastard isn't even Pincers-tier difficulty).
