brad1431
I want to get my construction level up to do gilded altar. I have $150M in free cash, and I would like to start leveling my prayer up, as I already have 1700 dbones banked frmo slayer. Besides doing mohogany tables for fast experience, what else should I do to that could be useful? I know little to nothing about construction, couldnt even tell you what rooms I have currently, or where my home teleport is? Thanks
Cheat
Well mahogany tables sounds fine in terms of levelling. You could always get some stealing creation hammers to speed it up a bit - thats if you like stealing creation. You may as well get some experience from the stuff that you want to have in your house. Although it won't be much making the rooms you like and things you need could get you a bit of experience. So making sure you have all the portals and mounted glory etc.. I can't really offer much more advice construction is basically fast and quite easy albeit expensive. brad1431
I have no idea what stealing creation is. Nor do I have any idea about mounted glories. I recharge my glories every day at burthorpe when I am diong my daily purchase of broad tips.
Cheat
Right well mounted glory is a piece of furniture in your house in I think the quest hall but could be somewhere else. You mount a glory on the wall and it provides unlimited glory teleports when using it. So with that and portals tabbing to your house can give you access to teleports to a lot of places around RS. Stealing creation is a minigame where you gain points by gathering sacred clay I'm sure Tip.it has a guide somewhere. The points can be spent on proto-tools which give you double xp in certain skills until they run out. E.g: Construction, smithing, fletching, fishing and there is even combat armour. Th e Doctor
SC tools don't signifiicantly cut down on the time to level construction due to the time to get the tools. It does however cut the cost of leveling it in half. Cacmypants
You have more than enough money to get your construction to 69 (gilded alter with crystal saw and trimmed tea-cups). So for those 4 more levels you need here are some options: ~1500 mahogany planksCosts ~3mil OR w/ 5 clay hammers~750 mahogany planksCosts ~1.5mil ~2500 teak planksCosts ~1.7mil OR w/ 5 clay hammers~1250 teak planksCosts ~850k Note that 5 clay hammers should take you under 2 hours to obtain. Vroqren
I find it fastest, to wield a hatchet, if your house is in Rimmington. Go outside, cut down oak trees. When you're inventory is full, go in and tell you servant to take as many as he/she can to the sawmill. Works best with Demon Butler. Then, with a saw and hammer make oak larders. and then make more oak larders. Repeat the process. It works great - I level up an average of 2-3 levels in two hours when I do that. But, if your construction level is lower, it will be faster, because less experience is required to level up. The downside is that your servant will take longer, and won't be able to take as many when your levels are lower. Join FC "w60_find_pen" For Penguins every week, and helpful people! Samaster
^ I agree, this would be extremely slow. When I was going for a gilded alter I just did oak larders. So I would reccomend this.

The method you gave was extremely inefficient. 2. He suggested BUILDING oak larders, which means buying planks.
barbwireboy3
No, he agrees you do oak larders. However, that method is extremely slow, and a terrible method.

LitterBug
No, he agrees you do oak larders. However, that method is extremely slow, and a terrible method. Yeah, but the other guy actually cut the planks and made his servents run to the construction yard which is beyond slow.If you're only going for enough construction to get a guilded altar - I would do mahogany tables if I were you. Most of your stats are pretty high - you have enough to make overloads and you have piety.Since you already have 150m and that won't get you 95 prayer - just spend it on the 75 construction (however, keep in mind you can drink the tea for a +2 boost and a crystal saw for a +3 boost)Save some for merching - use the rest on bones. Or better yet, use the daily profit from merching on bones.

brad1431
Right now the two things I am mainly concentrating on are slaying for profit, and charms for summoning. Second I am mining gold at LRC to superheat for smith and mage exp. I bank my bones from slayer, and I also do dailies and farm runs, I am almost 75 farm, and I have 5 magic seeds saved from mtk that I will use to level more. brad1431
but I know in the long run, I need to get to 95 prayer and I would like to do it in stages on my own. Plus I need to level construction anyway since it is one of my lowest skills.
Quyneax
I'd do mahog tables w/ sc tools (fast sc) as it cuts down on clicking a lot. nastyforinvi
Mahogany tables are the most expensive xp if you want something a little more reasonable try oak larders or oak dungeon doors but the time saved doing mahogany is worth it in my opinion.
