I just banked 99 pray and herb so now I'm lookin to get 99 magic after I get those two. I have 205M cash left, and really willing to spend probably up to 50M or so on the last three level if it will make it fast. What would be a good method?

99 HP, Attack, Strength, Defence, Summoning, Ranged, Herblore, Prayer, Agility, Magic, Slayer, Fletching, Fishing, Woodcutting, Mining, and Thieving.

Barrage the zombie skeleton monkeys that you would chin. Can't remember which barrage is best for exp though.

I'm guessing smoke because it's most accurate (I think I remember hearing that somewhere?)

Ice barrage is best. Should push 300 k exp/hr.

This. And as a sidenote, I've heard that ice barraging people (read: bots) in Soul Wars in the middle area is really good exp (zeal, etc). I'm not sure which would be better, though. Just a thought.

You know, I was actually considering not even making this thread and just doing that, so maybe I will just go to SW.

Go there with the intention of testing it until someone who knows better can give us a definite answer or you find out yourself. :P

EDIT: Also, may the level 2 men in Edgeville be with you, my son.

Even if it turns out to be a bit slower than skelton monkies, but a lot of fun freezing noobs, I may just do SW even if it is a bit less efficient.

Edit: Haha, that's kind of turned into an inside joke between us huh? I always giggle when you bring it up.

If you're barraging in Soul Wars, consider buying a virtus piece to increase your staying power, and use a good familiar as always of course.

I was thinking of using battle robes to save a few runes, but do you think virtus mask + ahrim top and bottom with wolpertinger would be better, or maybe virtus robe bottoms with ahrim top + hood/seers helm with wolper?

Much less then that considering the majority of your exp will come from killing those bots.

It's a lot easier then that for an idiot to sound smart on the internet.

That's exactly what you're doing right now... just saying.

Awesome, thanks for the advice guys. Will probably start workin on this Friday or so, gonna get 99 herb and pray first (currently working on those 1500 overloads and it's annyoing as hell making 5 per inventory, but not as bad as it used to be having to log out to keep a boost lol).

I'd certainly go with the mask + Ahrim's and wolper, yes. Not so much because it's more efficient - that's not really a concern (if you wanted to be efficient you'd superheat/low-alch while skilling). But increasing your staying power & damage output does make barraging more efficient. If you can get more virtus pieces, that's always nice of course.

Oh god no. I've done that before, and it is incredibly boring. The only reason I don't have 99 mage right now is because I've always trained with methods like that, and it was boring as hell. I'll definitely be going with barraging in SW.

You can also resell the pieces once you're done, though they are dropping at a decent rate.

Ice barrage is best. Should push 300 k exp/hr.

Ice barrage wouldn't be as good as blood barrage as it will mess up the lures and get you less hits per barrage, but it's certainly a good compromise as it's cheap and better than the low barrages. Max xp should be around 400k an hour at atoll skeletons.
