jasignhagj
I'm about to get 60 atk/str/def, and I was wondering what equipment I should upgrade to. Right now I have full rune and a rune scimitar, rune boots and I use the explore ring 1. I'll have about 2.5m to spend on equipment, and I'm not sure where it's better spent. (I suck at moneymaking, but I hate questing with a passion and prefer just to skill or slay)

aspeeder
Not in the slightest. I mean I suppose d legs/skirt are pretty cheap so you could probably justify those but the tops aren't, either way buy a zerker ring first. http://i700.photobucket.com/albums/ww6/aspeeder/Siggy_zpsewaiux2t.png 99 Strength since 6/02/10 99 Attack since 9/19/10 99 Constitution since 10/03/10 99 Defense since 3/14/11 99 Slayer since 8/30/11 99 Summoning since 9/10/11 99 Ranged since 09/18/11 99 Magic since 11/12/11 99 Prayer since 11/15/11 99 Herblore since 3/29/12 99 Firemaking since 5/15/12 99 Smithing since 10/04/12 99 Crafting since 9/16/13 99 Agility since 9/23/13 99 Dungeoneering since 1/1/14 99 Fishing since 2/4/14 99 Mining since 2/28/14 99 Farming since 6/04/14 99 Cooking since 6/11/14 99 Runecrafting since 10/10/14 9 Fletching since 11/11/14 99 Thieving since 11/14/14 99 Woodcutting since 11/20/14 99 Construction since 12/03/14 99 Divination since 2/22/15 99 Hunter since 2/23/15 99 Invention since 01/20/17 99 Archaeology since 5/14/22 99 Necromancy since 11/22/25 Quest Point Cape since 08/20/09 Maxed since 2/23/15 Fire Cape since 02/27/13 Slayer: 3 Leaf-Bladed Swords, 8 Black Masks, 2 Hexcrests, 26 Granite Mauls, 5 Focus Sights, 33 Abyssal Whips, 9 Dark Bows, 1 Whip Vine, 3 Staffs of Light, 15 Polypore Sticks Dragon: 10 Draconic Visages, 7 Shield Left Halves, 20 Dragon Boots, 40 Dragon Med Helms, 8 Dragon Platelegs, 6 Dragon Spears, 20 Dragon Daggers, 5 Dragon Plateskirts, 1 Dragon Chainbody, 63 Off-hand Dragon Throwing Axes, 19 Dragon Longswords, 27 Dragon Maces, 1 Dragon Ward Treasure Trails: Saradomin Full Helm, Ranger Boots, Rune Body (t), Saradomin Vambraces, Various God Pages Misc:1 Onyx,1 Ahrim's Hood, 1 Guthan's Chainskirt, 1 Demon Slayer Boots
HexiledRazz
Also, if you don't want to do Monkey Madness, just pick up a Brackish Blade. It's essentially a stabbing dragon scimitar that requires no quests. Hexiled Razz. Player since March 8th, 2005.
AHappySeeker
Brackish blade, dragon boots, dragon defender, 60 prayer, proselyte, Ardy cape, 70 prayer. That's the optimal order for you to get all of the big targets for your level.
JPMC Mate
I don't know about Ardougne cape. I am level 123 without one and I survive just fine. Really? Cause as I recall it was you who was the one cussing me at base. Also, re-read what you just said: one 15 second delay (which is an exaggeration to begin with) ruins floor times? You are beyond ridiculous.
Dex
People also surived to level 138 with a whip and didn't know the benefits of a chaotic. As far as I am aware, ardy cape is one of the only capes with an offensive bonus. Other being fire cape with +4 str but I doubt you will get that anytime soon. Aten
I don't know about Ardougne cape. I am level 123 without one and I survive just fine. It's not a bad cape to have, for the most part it is overshadowed by the fire cape... nevertheless, ardy can be useful if one ever plans to corp. It's nice to work towards long term goals sometimes. jasignhagj
How about a dragon Battleaxe? I'd rather spend the 400k difference between that and the brackish blade on something else if it's not a big difference.
HexiledRazz
Nope. Battleaxes are useless for the most part(Baring Dungoneering and the Primal Battleaxe). What you're looking for in a weapon is an decent str and attack bonus, and a fast speed. Scimitars and whips are the best. And a Chaotic rapier is what you'll eventually want. Hexiled Razz. rangers5000
If ur think of training all the time then barrows mite not be a good idea since they degrade. I suggest torso and d skirt
AHappySeeker
In my several years of using barrows, I have not once had to budget for the meagre degrade cost. Of course, you'll dump Verac for prossy after a certain def landmark but it's still amazing both for cost and in near-endgame utility.
NoHopeLeft
The cash to repair barrows can EASILY be made back in 3-4 herb runs if you do those, the cost has never been an issue for me either A money pouch would be cool. So would a remote price checker. But honestly I'm thinking an insta-Jcoins-market. LOW ON PRAYER AND DONT LIKE XP WASTE?! BUY AN ULTRA PRAYER RESTORE POTION INSTANTLY FOR JUST 75 CENTS! jasignhagj
A dragon baxe is still better than a rune scimmy though, right? I only have about 200k in gold right now, the rest is in nats for alching bows.

Will H
A Dragon Dagger (p++), that is, one that's been covered in super strong poison. It used to be called Dragon Dagger(s) a long time ago, and hence everyone called it a dds. Even after it was changed, everyone still calls it that. It's extremely effective as a special weapon for its price, although you need to do Lost City to use it. EDIT: At the time of posting, the Grand Exchange puts it at the hilarious price of 22.3K coins. ~ W ~
AHappySeeker
Use a sacred clay hat and r scim for training until you can afford a brackish blade or d scim. None of the other dragon weapons are worth it for training at your level over the sc bonus with a r scim. The hat is chosen because it will later be used for magic training using soul rune spells. In the mean time, work towards 70 atk for a whip and Sara sword.
