Training Defence with 1 Attack/Strength, fastest/best way?

Featured Replies

I'm looking to train Defence without raising my Strength/Attack skills. I want to start with 40 but move up eventually to 60 and higher. I will eventually be training Attack/Strength but not for a long time, I'm only doing Range/Prayer/Magic/Defence for now as far as combat skills go. Any and all help is appreciated.

If you're training range and magic, you should certainly use longrange and defensive casting while training them, respectively. I'm not sure of the specifc places or methods to train, but some people tend to forget that you can train defence at the same time as range and magic.

I'm currently 2 levels away from 40 Ranged, I plan on doing Defence training with Ranged/Magic when I do them next but for now I'm just trying to get 40 Ranged and then train to 40 Defence. I probably should've done it from the beginning with Ranged, but it's too late now.

This. You could wield a dwarven army axe, but it only trains controlled.

Well I did a few searches on Defence Pure training, and I think I'll try out one of those methods.

Gear set-up that I'll be using:

Thoughts?

Sorry to double post, but thought of something else. I figured I could try Pest Control and just train Magic + Defence and use the points on Defence. I'm at 20 Defence as of now with 48 points, and once I hit 25 and can use them I wouldn't be surprised if I had 100 or more. The only problem is that at 25, 100 points would only give me 3.5K experience... which seems like nothing, seeing as I need 29K exp from 25 to 40. Should I continue down this path or is there a more efficient/faster way?

The katana is actually the best weapon for this. Berkerker ring (i) is actually worth getting.

It's a lot easier then that for an idiot to sound smart on the internet.

That's exactly what you're doing right now... just saying.

Katana= iron 2h sword.

Katana = iron 2h. Best? No. The topaz machete is better.

I would get the katana but I don't feel like going out and buying a 90 day membership card. Should I stick to Pest Control or train on men til 40?

Dragon Slayer quest gives a big bundle of defence (and a bundle of strength too, but if you are majoring in range, the range will probably still set the attack part of your combat level).

Ranging Elvarg works a lot better in P2P than F2P, as you can have better crossbow, antifire shield and potion, or at least have the antifire potion when using a normal bow.

Start soul wars around 40 def.

L2pullout.png

sacred clay staff > runecrafting staff > red topaz machette in terms of DPS.

I THINK all of them don't require strength and attack levels to wield, but im not 100% sure.

Naaxi.png

3rd age druidic staff would probably be good, although unreasonably expensive.
