A good way to get random events

I walk back and forth between the range and the bank in Al Kharid all the time. Everytime I click the furnace to cook 28 lobbies at once, there's a chance that a random event appears. I estimate that around 1/5th of the times there's a random event. I got myself a new frog outfit and 3 genies, and I just started cooking, I have many more lobbies to go.

I also got a lot of mysterious men , but those are useless, since my inventory is full with lobbies I don't feel that it's worth dropping a lobster to get a sapphire or 64 coins. And useless dwarves of course.

But anyway, I feel that this isn't random anymore. Every 5 times I ccook 28 lobbies, a random event, and every time at the moment I click the range...

How many times do we have to point out the word RANDOM?!

The best way to get random events, is to log into runescape, end of discussion.

Nah this isn't random anymore, I'm getting faster prayer experience while cooking, than when fighting ice giants, thanks to the genies ;)

hmmm... Got to try that cuz I've been fishing lobsters for over 3 days now and I got nothing but 2 river trolls (lobster count: 812, and I leveled from 45 to 52 lol)..

yeah, and then do stuff. that is why its called random, they shouldn't follow any pattern. heck, that might even be considered a glitch.

random events are done on some type of exp scale i think, why do you think there are always so many random events while you are fishing on karamanja pier? coz there is so much exp being collected, so i think that the estimate of every 150 lobbies cooked a random appears is not just a coinincidece

The last 400 lobsters (from 600-1000) I fished on karamja gave me nothing but a river troll. I hate that.

Yea i highly doubt that it's the exp gain ive gone from lv 30 to 58 wc superfat and i didn't get a single random event, i also doubt that it is accually random. Think it probably has to do more with your total level than exp gain.

Yeah.. look at how many randoms Zezima gets any given day they log on :P

In a way i agree with the orange dude, but 'Random' events also serve the purpose of interfering with possible autoers, therefor with cooking being 1 of the most macroed skills in rsc i suppose they have some code that makes it so the 'Random' events appear more often in such skills.

Anyone remember that always carrying a full inventory caused you to get many mazes? I once filled my inventory with ashes when training on lessers and came back with 1k noted coal. Too good to be random. :D

Maybe having a full inventory still causes you to get many randoms, since when you're cooking lobbies you obviously have a full inventory at all times.

RsN: Arcade

I think everyone has his own ways to get events.

When I'm smelting huge amounts of addy and mith bars in Al Kharit I get drunk dwarves all the time. When I'm training melee I get genies and when I'm powermining iron or fishing/cooking I get old men all the time. i just think it's kinda pure luck to get rare events since I haven't gotten a genie for over 2 months

2016 goals: all skills +30mil xp - Completed this goal 11th December 2016 smile.gif

I also heard that, and I was expecting a lot of mazes when i was about to cook my lobbies.

Ironically, i got a "mom", every time i lit my fire, causing one open space in my inventory. This happened like 5 times.

the sandwhich lady came tome when i was woddcutting and got a free choco bar :)

Best way i htink is if yourtraining after you get like 10k xp just alc something. works for me.

they r called random events for a reason, you might get 1000 randoms events one day doing a certain skill and you might not get any for 2 weeks, just the way it is

Wow - Zuu - Lvl 55 Destructo Lock - Neptulon

Rattus Jr - Skill totaler Nub ( Zuu's Back)

You know what? I wish Jagex would stop being subtle about this and just stick big shirts on the 'Random Events' that say Anti Auto Patrol or something. It annoys me that a minority of lazy arsh fools ruin it for everyone else! We all get treated like autoers now... :(

I agree with that 100%. If the random events were more rare like say a mime random event, i wouldn't mind at all because not everyone would have that clothes. If you walk around varrock at any time about 80% of the people there in all lvl ranges have prince outfits on or frog heads.

And to comment on the way to "get randoms more easily", there is no way to get them more thats why its called a Random event. There is nothing you can do except play normally.

I think which event happens is random, but the fact that an event happens is much less random than you think. I sometimes walk around doing nothing talking to people, and I get a m.o.m., dwarf, rick turpentine, sandwhich lady, or that pirate. That's once in three hours. If I am gaining a lot of exp in one skill they happen much more often. Autoers are usually gaining levels, and experience very quickly. If you went from 40 - 5* in one skill, one day, that's very good, but the exp at that level isn't as large or as fast as a higher level autoer. With prayer and cooking I've notice there are some patterns, just check it out.

um...do a lot of wc, mining and fishing i guess.

oh and the wierdest thing that probably happened to me with random events was that i was atked by a tree spirit in the lava maze...just because i felt like cutting down one dead tree to see what charcoal looks like....lol

I was in world 1 selling full zammy and I got a mime

and I <3 cabbage. so green, and leafy, and good.

Yea, I was merchanting masks, and woola...mime event. First mime event was from fishing, though this means nothing. Random events are random, whether you are standing still, or training a skill.

I'd say random events are completely random, except maybe that by weird coincidences they come at the times they do, making them seem to have triggers. Just like rune med drops from lessers, there was a topic on that and how a bunch of people got them all at once, but I'd say it was just very coincidental that they got them when they did. Same goes for random events. Although I'll admit, the times that I sometimes get them make me wonder...
